Camp

Legacy hiked on the well beaten trail for about an hour and finally came to the spot she found by the lake. She looked out over the lake with the mountains behind it and it took her breath away, it was stunning! The water was completely crystal clear and reflected the trees and mountains that surrounded it. The birds chirped in the distance and the peaceful hum of insects could be heard all around. The warm breeze washed over her blowing the storm of emotions inside of her away. She had found her it. Her new favorite spot in this world. She wished she could have brought her favorite person, her grandpa, here before he passed away.. he would have loved it.
After enjoying the view for a few moments she decided to set up camp. She found a good flat spot to set up her tent and got to work clearing the few branches and brushes that were scattered over the ground. After she got her tent up she dug a hole for a fire pit and bordered it with some rocks. She used the branches she had cleared for kindling to start a fire and hung her pot with water over the fire. Once that was boiling she added the dehydrated beef stroganoff she had packed and inhaled every bit of it in record time. After dinner she realized she was pretty grimy from the him so she decided she was going to take a dip in the lake. She jogged down to the lake but as she started to get undressed the feeling of someone watching her became overwhelming again and she stopped. She held her breath and listened for any sounds and then looked around but there was nothing.

I'm in the middle of a nowhere, deep in the forest. The only living things around are animals. I'll be fine to just take a quick skinny dip! Stop acting so paranoid! It was just a damn fox!

She quickly undressed completely and waded into the water until she got to her ass, then lifted her hands above her head and dove head first in. The cool water was a shock to her system but within seconds her body started to become accustom to it. She then felt like all her senses were awakened and she felt so alive. This was like heaven on earth and it was all hers. She floated on her back looking up at the stars until she started shivering uncontrollably and decided to head back. She got out and realized she didn't bring a towel but just shrugged, grabbed her clothes and walked back to her tent. She was freezing and tired from the long day so she dried off as quickly as she could and only put an oversized t-shirt on. She zipped up her tent opening, put her gun and knife right by her pillow and cuddled deep into her sleeping bag and fell fast asleep.
