Skylar was raised to believe that doing the right thing meant being on the right side of the law. It's the reason why she followed in her brother's footsteps and became a cop. When she is assigned the Toretto case, she quickly realizes that everything isn't what it seems.
Skylar made quick friends with the Toretto team when she brought her car to the garage. About a month into her case she realized why they did what they did, so she came clean. Vince was pissed to say the least but Dom kept a calm head and listened to her story. Dom then deemed her worthy of staying with them as long as she proved her worth and helped keep the cops off of them. Skylar quickly agreed and found her a family worth never turning her back on.
