A few months later, Brian and Skylar are both offered a position with the FBI. Skylar was ready for a normal life, well as normal of a life she could get with street racing. She thought that her and Brian were on the same page as far as having a normal life but apparently not. Brian accepted the position which had him moving back to L. A. Skylar was not ready to go back to L.A., since she knew it wouldn't be the same as it was when the Toretto's were there. Seeing as they couldn't seem to agree on anything and both apparently wanted different things, Brian and Skylar broke up. Brian moves to L.A. and was immediately put on a major case. Skylar stayed in Miami as she sulked about the break up because she does love Brian, just not the life that he wants. Four months later, Skylar received a call from Mia, who had an offer for Skylar. Mia had moved to Rio with Vince after everything had gone down in L. A. Since Mia was out of the country, she was having trouble keeping up with the house in L.A. Mia offered the house to Skylar, so she wouldn't have to sell the house. Skylar agreed knowing how much the house means to everyone. She moves back to L.A. and could only hope that she didn't cross paths with Brian.
