UNKNOWN: I shaped my pancakes into dicks this morning in honor of you.
And that was the lovely "good morning" text I woke up to this morning on the first day of school. The first day of my senior year and I woke up to a text from some random girl about dick-shaped pancakes.
But I had to admit... they looked delicious.
I rolled out of bed, throwing on a striped, long-sleeve shirt, jeans, and a pair of white Vans. An outfit I'd put together with Hannah over facetime the other night when she asked me what I was planning on wearing. When I told her I was just gonna throw on the first thing I saw, she scrutinized me and forced me to do a full-on fashion show, finally coming to today's outfit. She was a bit over-the-top when it came to planning out outfits. If she showed up at my house ready to head out to dinner and I wasn't wearing something "acceptable" in her opinion, she would force me to change into an outfit of her choice.
So yes, she was a bit extravagant.
I headed downstairs with my backpack slung over my shoulder, throwing it on the sofa while I went into the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl from a cabinet, then reached on top of the fridge to grab the box of honey-nut Cheerios (my favorite and most cherished cereal). I poured way too much cereal (I mean, way more than the recommended serving size because who cares about serving sizes, anyway?) into the bowl, then topped it off with some milk before sitting down and digging in.
JESSE: Looks delicious. No homo, though.
UNKNOWN: You're telling me you're not gay?
JESSE: What part of I have a girlfriend do you not understand?
UNKNOWN: The part where you think a penis looks delicious.
I rolled my eyes and set my phone down, only then realizing the time. School started in half an hour and it took me nearly 20 minutes to get there. Not to mention, the parking lot was a pain in the ass to find a spot in. So I had to leave soon.
I shoveled in the last few bites of my delectable honey-nut Cheerios before grabbing my backpack and running out of the house straight to my car. I jumped in and sped off towards the school.
My other motivation for getting to school at least 10 minutes early? Hannah.
She would kill me if I was late, which by her standards meant 5 minutes before the bell rang. She liked to be early and that meant that she expected me to be early, too. I was practically required to walk her to class every morning, as had been our routine since we started going out. It was cute at first until she started getting increasingly angrier whenever I would forget or not be able to walk her. At this point, I just knew not to test her when it came to walking her to her first class. And I especially couldn't test her on the first day of school. Needless to say, I would be a dead man.
