"you're crazy.""b-but, but he flat out rejected me in junior year!" jungkook ranted aggressively, pacing back and forth in their bedroom.
"he didn't..." hoseok rubbed his temples, "..reject you, you invited him to a frat party and he said no because he was busy. what could a headboy do?" he said, scrolling through his phone.
jungkook groaned, throwing himself backwards onto his bed. "i don't wanna have hope then get fooled again." he mumbled.
hoseok furrowed his eyebrows and threw his phone to the side, "then don't. drop it. he's been playing with you for years." he rolled his eyes. "if you wanna get laid so bad, i'll hook you up."
jungkook sighed, pulling his hood over his eyes. "it's not, that, its.." he paused.
"it's what then? what makes you so damn attracted to that guy?"
jungkook frowned, sitting upright. what was it that made him melt about park jimin?
jimin. jimin, jimin, jimin.
jungkook didn't know, it was probably how he smiled, how his eyes crease at his grin, or the melody of his laughter, how it was a beautiful melody to him, or his gaze, maybe, how he made jungkook so captivated, or maybe his lips, ah, he didn't know, but how amazing it would be to kiss them,
oh, shit.
"oh, shit."
"i love everything about him."
hoseok shook his head. "oh, you poor, poor, lovesick boy."
jungkook stood up in defense, and hoseok mentally marked it as the fifth time, "he said i was cute! me?! hoseok, that's got to mean something!"
"yeah, it's that you're easy to fool." he rolled his eyes.
"he—, i—," jungkook stuttered, then paused as his shoulders dropped, "he didn't, fool me, he doesn't even lie."
"ah, right." hoseok nodded his head in mock agreement, "of course, i forgot, mr. goody two-shoes doesn't know how to lie." he grinned. "if he didn't know how to lie, how come he's complimented your lips so much yet you've never kissed once?"
"he, he's...waiting, i-" he slumped, "no, you're right, this is miserable."
hoseok sighed and stood up, "if i were you, i would try to find a new model. i'll see you later."
jungkook nodded tiredly.
"are you sure you don't want to come? you need to stop being a college student once in a while." hoseok asked, letting go of the cold doorknob to ask jungkook.
jungkook shook his head, his bottom lip sticking out as he scrolled across twitter.
"damn, he really stopped you from having fun, huh?" hoseok sighed. "well, if not, you better sleep. don't pull an all-nighter on a weekend, it's bad for you." hoseok scolded.
jungkook chuckled at hoseok's brotherly instincts, "i won't."
hoseok nodded hesitantly, before opening the door to get out.
not a second passed and the door unlocked again, revealing hoseok's head peeking through the door.
"oh yeah, one more thing." hoseok laughed sinisterly. "don't let the aliens get you. love you."
"ew. leave." jungkook laughed, throwing a stupid, green alien head that hoseok bought toward his direction.
the door locked one last time, leaving jungkook in silence.
jungkook breathed out tiredly, looking at his phone.
the blinding screen showed 10:49, and a retweet from hoseok.
'"alien-hunters stormed area 51 today, despite warnings of humanitarian disaster"'
hoseok: i heard some of them got arrested HAHAHA
"they actually—" jungkook's eyebrows furrowed as he rubbed the bridge of his nose, "they actually did it, i still cannot believe they actually did it." he scowled.
he shook his head and threw his phone at the far end of his bed. "they're crazy." he mumbled tiredly, eyes automatically shut.
he didn't really hear the sound of their living room window clicking open.
