jungkook ran his finger across the wide array of fabrics, testing each to see which was the best choice."i think this would be good." he murmured, examining a meter of satin fabric. "v, take this." he threw the folded fabric towards the alien, who had managed to catch it and balance it perfectly atop five other fabrics on his palms.
the pile had now reached a height that completely blocked v's face.
jungkook turned around and saw the alien's situation. "are you sure you can carry all that?"
"yes. the weight is not a problem." v replied, "it's my sight. why do humans only have two eyes? they get so easily impaired."
jungkook rolled his eyes, grabbing a basket and putting all the fabrics in, "what, can't you just like, use your magic alien powers and, i don't know," he flailed his arms in the air, "bloop! there's an eye, i mean,"
then jungkook heard the sound he had just made.
"v, you did not—"
"i did not know i could manipulate this form."
the alien in front of him now had three eyes.
"how did you even do that?!" jungkook whispered loudly, outraged as he pushed v against the back corner of the fabrics store. "don't do that again! humans are gonna see, v, do you want them to catch you?"
with all three eyes, the alien blinked, "no."
"then take that extra eye off and keep living as a human." jungkook scolded, shoving all the fabrics in the basket. he held the alien's wrist and dragged him
out of the corner."we'll just pay for this and go straight home to start fitting. stay human until then. okay?" he pointed his finger in front of v's face. the extra terrestrial looked at the human appendage and took ahold of it tightly.
jungkook shook his head and rubbed his temples, "jeez, why did i think it was a good idea to keep you?" he sighed and shook his finger free from the alien's grip. "come on."
jungkook walked forward and squeezes through a little space between a tall pile of fabric rolls and the wall, until he realized that his new friend wasn't following.
"v, what are y—"
the human was missing an ear.
"what if i live without this? will i be any less human?"
"v, quit it! what are you doing?!"
"vincent van gogh was a human and he had a missing ear! i know, i—myself—observed the human!" v defended, holding his index finger up to emphasize his point.
"put it back!" jungkook scolded.
he shook his head. "no. i am a human regardless of hearing appendages." he walked forward.
then the alien started falling sideways and unto the giant stack of fabric rolls.
"oh, no." the alien muttered, watching the tower tumble,
as the human boy could only swear,
"oh, shit,"
and one of the rolls hit another customer.
the two could only blink.
"what the fuck?!"
jungkook swallowed.
the alien simply stared and blatantly returned the ear with a silent 'bloop'.
