"Ashido?" I called out to the pink-skinned girl. She turned around quickly and her eyes met mine, an excited smile forming on her lips as she ran over.
"L/n! It's been so long! How have you been girl? Still traveling a ton?" I let out a small hum of happiness as the excited girl skidded to a halt in front of me. We were at the park she wanted to meet at, under a tree for shade on a hot day like this.
"You bet! I've been to the USA, France, oh and who can forget Australia and Africa?! Canada was fun too!" The girl snickered and nudged my arm.
"Todoroki eh?" I burst into a fit of giggles, bending over slightly with my hand clutching Mina's shoulder. I studied abroad a lot and although I wasn't technically in her school, I knew all of her classmates.
"Todoroki does look like the Canadian flag! How did I not notice that?" The girl shrugged and smiled up at me as I was a little taller than her. I missed that smile, studying abroad is fun but keeping friends is difficult. A lot of people don't try to talk with me again after I leave. Imagine my surprise when Mina contacted me after only three days of being in France? It made me find the pink-skinned girl even more endearing and honestly, I was attracted to her. She was such a bright light, a little excitable sure but definitely cute.
"Mina, youre so great. You know that? Like the literal best." The girls cheeks got a bit darker as she giggled and shoved my arm in a playful way.
"Oh stop! You're making me blush~" I lifted her chin with my right hand, bringing her closer to me.
"Oh? Is that so Princess?" I teased and the girls cheeks became a deeper pink, the shade contrasting with her normal skin. I removed my hand and her immediate reaction was her eyes widening ever so slightly.
"No! My weakness! I'm melting, I'm melting!" The girl then proceeds to lean her back against me and pretend as if she was jelly. I giggled and poked her forehead.
"Youre not a witch, and if you were, I didn't pour any water on you." The girl then straightened herself out with a vibrant smile on her lips.
"Lets say I was a witch, would you pour water on me if you knew I would die?" I gasped and placed a hand on my chest, acting as though I was affected by her questioning.
"Of course not!"
"Awww, thanks Y-"
"Id burn you. Burn the witch!" I teased as I grabbed her by the sides and began to tickle her. The female laughed hysterically and squirmed around before collapsing on the ground in a sitting position.
"Rude!" She said with a smile as she crossed her arms.
"Mnn, but you love me anyway!" I lowered my hand down to her, Mina grabbed on and jumped up. Her arms then wrapped around my neck as she brought me down to her height, kissing my cheek.
"You bet, who else would be ridiculous with me in public?"
"I could name a few."
"Oh hush and accept the compliment!" I snickered and grabbed onto the girls waist, pulling her in even closer. A blush on my cheeks as I whispered to her.
"Make me, " the girl grabbed my cheeks and pulled my face to hers. She pressed a kiss against my forehead, my nose and then a brief one against my lips.
"Will you accept it now?" The girl teased with a blush of her own. I nodded with shock, I hadn't actually expected her to do that. Then again, Mina doesn't usually back down from these kinds of challenges. I guess I should have known. The question that seemed to linger was simple but one I couldn't answer. Did she kiss me simply because she wanted me to accept the compliment or because she felt something for me?
"Hey, Y/n! Why don't we get some ice cream and you can tell me all about your trip?" The pink girl switched topics and I blinked a few times to snap myself back into reality.
"Uh, sure thing but uhm. Can I ask you a question?"
"You already did."
"Mina! I'm serious!"
"Fine, fine! What's up?" I sighed and let the girl go, looking off to the side for a second. If it was just to accept the compliment, things could get awkward. Did I really want that? It doesn't matter, I wont ever know unless I try.
"I like you, as in romantically, and I wanted to know if you like me too." The girl froze up and didn't speak, her eyes wide.
"I can't believe you just asked that. I'm the airhead? Did I or did I not just kiss you!" I let out a small laugh and tilted my head slightly.
"Mina, I can't ever tell why you do the things you do!"
"Well yes airhead in crime, I do like you. Now, will you do me the honor of sharing my singular brain cell?" I laughed and kissed the girls forehead.
"Youre so cute, if that's your way of asking me to be your girlfriend. It's a yes from me." She grinned and jumped around a bit before interlocking our fingers.
"Great, now that it's all settled...time for ice cream!" She then began pulling me in the direction of the nearest shop. I laughed but followed her closely. Maybe I'll stop taking constant trips, after all, I don't want her lonely.
