Most Americans may have realized yesterday was 9\11 if not that's fine but my school makes sure we remember it.. I honestly agree with this we need to know about the history of country..and we need to remember those who gave their lives for us this is just some of my experience yesterday to help with my writing skills.
It was the last class of the day, I'd just come from Biology and was thinking about my project. When the teacher looked at the class, trying to make sure everyone was there. It was 9\11 and in remembrance most of the school was wearing red, white, and blue. I sat in my desk as I do each day looking at Nat (I'm going to call her that for this) she's really the only person in there that talks to me. So I started a conversation the best I could considering she was in the seat behind me.
When everyone was there our teacher pulled up a video. It was a video about 9\11. I sat forward in my seat at looked at the white screen, the video appearing in front of us. I watched the video as I did every year, my eyes not leaving the screen. I have watched silently seeing smoke billowing out of the first tower, tears stinging my eyes as I saw the people on the ground panicking. There were people screaming in fear for their friends, neighbors, and loved ones. While others were frozen to the spot their eyes wide as they took in the scene before them. The first tower up in smoke, all of the news reporters trying to figure out what happened..when a second plane hit the other tower.
Screams of panic and people just staring. The first tower collapsed, I watched the video almost crying as screams could be heard. Not much later the second tower which had been up in smoke collapsed.. in The World Trade Centers otherwise known as the twin towers collapsed 19 years ago. Causing about 2,977 deaths and more deaths years later from the damages the smoke did to their lungs. On 9\11 we remember those who were lost and those who lost someone that day.. 19 years ago the whole of the country was in a panic.. but this act of terrorism brought our country together. In times of need Americans gather together to help each other..a monument stands where the two towers once stood in the middle of New York City. Two large beams of light, and a memorial for those lost.
