The beginning of the school year lunch finished, and I made my way into the Gryfindor common room with Fred and George, we talked for a bit before they drafted off, saying they had stuff to make. I nodded as I made my way to the bookshelf pulling a random book, sitting on the floor and I began reading. I was pretty absorbed in it, when a girl with blond- brown hair sat next to me, and introduced herself."Hi! I'm Hermoine Granger! You're Grace, right?" I nodded a bit. "Well, I have a few questions, if you wouldn't mind going to a more secluded area?" I nodded a bit as I got up, and followed her. When we got there, two boys were standing in the corner. "Guys!" She said. My heart began to beat faster, as they turned around revealing Harry, and the oh - so - familiar red headed boy. "Ok, I'm pretty sure you know who Harry is, correct?" I nodded a bit. She nodded back in return and pointed at the red head,"This is Ron Weasley. You met his older brother's, right?" Realizing she must have been talking about Fred and George, I nodded. "Ok, so we wanted to know a few things, but I guess we should get the most important question out of the way... Are you actually related to Harry?" I nodded a bit, earning a look of disbelief from the three of them."No way, I'm an only child." I shook my head no. "Well do you care to explain what exactly happened?" I nodded again."The day Hagrid found ya, he found me, he told dumbledore, but dumbledore knew uncle Vernon and his wife wouldn't let two of us stay with 'em, so he granted Hagrid permission to let me live along- side 'im." I paused and took a breath,"I then started to live in the forbidden forest, because the department of magic almost found out that a 'muggle' was living on magical grounds. So yeah, I hid deep there until I got my acceptance letter to Hogwarts." I looked at them. They all stated intently at me."How could they have lied to me?" Harry questioned. I looked at him, not knowing where this could possibly go next. He grabbed my wrist, and pulled me out of the common room. He began to drag me down the hall, and up a numerous amount of stairs, until we made it to a wooden door, with a Phoenix standing on its perch outside."Where are we?" I asked. "Dumbledore's office." "What? Why?" "You know, for a potential Ravenclaw, you're not very bright." He snapped. "Well, aren't you the nicest little prick I've e'er met?" He stared at me as if my language shocked him. I smirked a bit. He said a few words, and the door went open. A man I knew semi- well, was sitting at his desk in front of another man, with a proboscis."Hello, Professor Dumbledore. Do you have a minute?" I asked. The man with the huge nose, I knew of based on Hagrid's stories, looked at the Harry and I. "You two are to supposed to be in your dorms." I nodded a bit."Yes sir, we know. Although, what we have to speak to Dumbledore about is of great concern to the both of us." I tried to say it as politely as possible."Yes," he sneered,"And I suppose you are Grace Potter?" I nodded somewhat proudfully. "Yes, well then, Dumbledore, shall we continue this later?" Dumbledore smiled kindly,"Fairwell, Severus." He then turned his attention on the two of as Snape closed the door."So, I suppose you two want answers." we nodded."How much do you know?" Harry told him everything I said, as Dumbledore nodded attentively. "I see, although one thing is wrong with that." "She isn't my sister?" "No, Harry. Now I know that your aunt and uncle never treated you the best, but nonetheless, they provided you with food, shelter, and important necessities of life, whether or not love was involved.
"But, your sister however was given none of that. She had to fend for herself, eat only the food she or Hagrid caught, and shower in a stream. Although, she could have been given the opportunity to have the same treatment you were given, it was imperative that she was treated the way she was." Harry and I began to open our mouths, but Dumbledore stopped us both."Let me finish, had she been given the opportunity you had Harry, her survival and defense skills would have been weakend. And Im sure you both are aware of the dark lord as risen. Meaning we need you two to help. People will most likely die, but with the skills you have recieved, we will at least be semi- prepared for now." I let everything he said sink in for a bit, before saying;"So basically, you wanted me to face the many hardships and judgements of everyone I've ever encountered, because I might be what can hold off Voldemort until Harry gets the opportunity to finish him off?..." Dumbledore looked disheartened seeing as I took it the wrong way."No, Gracie. You are more than just a 'back up plan', and hopefully you will see it in your near future." I sighed a bit before letting myself out, and making my way back to the dorms.
