As long as light had known Mitch she was a pyromaniac hyperactive on their class, light haven't seen her cooperating in school stuff or atleast he had known, he didn't knew her too well. So why assume and judge?
Mitchell Azumiko or aliased as 'mitch' has a lot of description, a naive reckless, boisterous girl. Light couldn't put a fingers on why he had gotten close with her, and might this one time she impressed herself by doing some uninsolving illusion math tricks that light had created when they were studying alone in the library, and this one time where light bumped into her at the police station. Light had business with his father before, nevertheless where he helped through some cases in his father's right hand.
"Me? Oh, i'm part timing here"
mitchell cooed for her answer, convincing light otherwise about the half truth.
Shoichiro couldn't tell his son about it, it's for his own good for what he thinks.

"This is so boring!"
She shouted throughout the library, light sweatdropped about this as he couldn't concentrate at his studies anymore, the more he tilted ideas for her the more surreal he was going to.
He tried creating an illusion math tricks that only few people could solve, the puzzle is alot of complications and it took him a while to make this. He sighed roughly tracing to the vintage paper and handing it to the curl headed girl who is trying to reach her nose whilst using her tongue
He deadpans "moisture this, it's a small math puzzle"
Mitch looked at the paper with unreadable face, she softly reached for a pen and took no time to scribble the answers. Light was about to raise his book to read when a small slam in front of him interrupted.
There's no way she could solve it. Light furrowed his eyes not missing any single of the numbers and contexts. He looked back at mitch again who was chewing the end of the string beans trying to position herself in a weird yoga position with closed eyes.
No… way
And he stayed silent
