What do you look like?
Do you look like me?
I have eyes that sparkle.
And a dimpled knee. There's a touch of freckles.
Upon my nose,
On my feet I have
Such sweet little toes! With a body slender,
Skin soft as the dew,
Please tell me that
I look like you!Her eyes dart to Nick's, Ash's, and mine. "You're the Shadow Slayer that was taken from this Institue and raised by fairies her whole life because some witch wanted to put you in a sleeping spell." The three in front of me chuckled.
I looked at them with a confused look, hoping they would give me some clarity, but all they did was stand there and chuckle at my confused glare. After they were done busting their guts, Ash finally spoke.
"Blair, I would like you to meet Mystic West. The head warlock." As Ash finished introducing her, she bowed and raised her head, as a dramatic character from Alice in Wonderland would do.
"The pleasure is all mine, Ms. Rosewood." She says, rising back up. "Sorry for the introduction. I hate being serious all the time." She chuckles.
"How do you know my last name?" I asked, a little worried about who this strange stranger was.
"Oh dear, I know more than I lead on." She smirks at me. "Anywho, I'm not here for you, not now, at least. She glances sideways as If I need to take her words seriously. I'm here because there's been a buzz around the down-world community lately, and I need to know if it's true or not?" She's gone from goofy and playful to serious.
The woman standing in front of me has long blonde hair, and she's wearing an exciting style of clothing, almost like it's a mix of Victorian and modern. She was tall and slightly intimidating as well. Her eyes were a piercing silver; they had much to tell but were not ready to be revealed yet.
"What is this rumor?" Ash says authoritative, with Nick right alongside him.
"There's word that some Downworlders might be executed because of a crime that they did not commit, and the council won't let them have a trial, but if I'm not mistaken, the accords say that every Downworlder that does a wrongdoing no matter how big or small, they must be allowed a trial or even a hearing ." She says with a serious tone and a very unenthusiastic face.
"The rumors are true, but hear me out, Mystic. These Downworlders are not like what we have seen before; they are bloodthirsty monsters with no control over what they do to others. They do not belong in this world any longer. So the council has decided to dispose of them at dusk tomorrow so they shall burn and pay for their sins on the mundane world." Ash spurts out.
"I would like to see these creatures." Mystic's demeanor changed; she was stern and authoritative and defiantly meant business.
"I can arrange that, but please know, Mystic, you can not have any contact with these creatures, and it will be a brief visit. You take your look and analyze them; then you must leave." Ash says with a sternness in his voice that I had not heard before.
"I understand." She nods and turns back to me. "See you soon, Ms. Rosewood." And with that, she opened her portal and vanished. Ash's shoulders sank and relaxed a little after she was gone, but he still had tension, waiting for the next thing to strike at him.
After that weird afternoon, I had to escape the confined corridors; of course, Ash wouldn't let me leave alone, so I had the most annoying person on earth with me.
"So where are we going, and is it far?" He said with a childish hop; even his presence was annoying.
"I'm going to find Liam, it has been a day or two, and he's probably worried about me," I said with a snark in my voice.
