Chapter 17 (A surprise proposal)

(Riker's P.O.V)

So im planning on proposing to Jess tonight but im not sure on how i would do it. Maybe i could do it on the beach when the sunset is out. Is all i know is that i want it to be romantic when it happens. Everyone doesnt know that im doing this, and i dont want them to know just yet. Is all they know is that im going somehwhere with Jess tonight, but they dont know where im taking. I decided to take her to the beach tonight around 6 or 7 tonight because its the perfect time when the sun goes down. For now im just gunna play it off like im not up to anything because if i act different, everyone is gunna be asking questions and i dont want that right now. So right now, im getting ready to take Jess to the beach because its alrwady 4 and im planning on taking her at 5. I walk into Jess's room and see her on her phone like always. She looks beautiful no what she's doing. She could be dancing weirdly and i would still think shes beautiful.

Riker: "Hey Jess" I say walking into her room.

Jessica: "Hey Riker" She says with a big smile.

Riker: "So i was thinking about us going to the beach in an hour, what do you say"?

Jessica: "I would love to go to the beach with you, but why so late"? She asks.

Riker: "Because theres a sunset and i was hoping you would like to sit by the sunset tonight". I say

Jessica: "Of course i would love to".

Riker: "Awesome, So r u ready"?

Jessica: "Ya sure, i got dressed earlier so i should be good".  She says.

Riker: "Ok, lets go then". I say grabbing her hand.

  We wallk out to my car, i open the door for her like the gentlemen i am. I get in and i drive off, Im so nervous but i cant show it because then she will think something is wrong. So i just play it off like theres nothing wrong.

Jessica: "This is gunna be fun". She says sweetly.

Riker: "Yea it is, i cant wait to watch the sunset with you". I said.

Jessica: "I cant wait either". She said excitedly.

Riker: "We here".

Jessica: "Yayy!!" She said.

   I get out and open the door for her, we walk hand in hand together an just talk like we always do. We find a spot to sit down where we could see the sunset from and it was beautiful. Especially sense im with Jess, she makes things so much better that i cant honestly wait to spend my life with her. So finally i take the Ring box out of my pocket and hide it behind my back when she wasnt looking. I had to do it quick, luckily i have quick hands.

Jessica: "Why do you have your hands behind you back"? She asked giggling.

Riker: Well, Jess? before i ask you something i just wanted to say that i fell in love with you the first day i met you, and ever sense then you have meant the world to me and i would love it if you would spend the rest of your life with me. Jess? would you do the honor of being Mrs. Lynch?

Jessica: "Of course Riker i would ove to marry you!" She said with tears in her eyes.

Riker: "I love you so much Jess, i love you with all my heart and i always will".

Jessica: "I love you to Riker, i will always love you. Your the best guy i could ever have".

Riker: "And your the best girl i could ever have".

    We stand there just hugging each other for a good amount of time, i could honestly hug and kiss her all day. I love her to much to let her go and if i didnt have her i dont know what i would do. I love her with all my heart, and i always will no matter what.
