-SHAI POV-
"You seem even more spaced out then usual today."
It was a statement strong enough to pull me out of my thoughts. I turned in my seat to face Kylie.
"Why would you say that?" I whisper.
"Well Ms Choke just said she's going to get our assessment results and you didn't even smile," she says with a smile of her own turning in her own seat to face me.
"It's nothing," I reply, going back to summarising how climate change works.
"Shai, there is something going on in your head and..."
But I was saved by our HSIE teacher striding into the room.
"This isn't over," she hissed at me as our essays were being handed out.
"Shai O'Brian," Ms Choke called and I took my paper eagerly.
A wide smile came over my face as I looked at the results.
"Hey Shai, what did you get?" Katie called from two seats down.
"Twenty out of twenty," I smile at her.
The people around me groaned and made snide comments but I didn't care. At the end of the day I worked hard for my marks and they should know that. Also, It pleases my Mum, so then everyone's happy.
