The holders of the millennium ring rounded the corner and froze. Ryou was freaking out, chanting under his breath "He's safe! He's safe!"
Bakura was also freaking out, if not as vocally. He was going over what he had been witness to. He had just seen a bond form. This was sacred, and nearly permanent. Did the boy realize this? Did the boy realize he had just bound his and Yugi's souls together?
Was he even powerful enough to sustain the bond? He contained enough darkness but he hadn't tapped into it yet. Bakura peaked around the corner watching the boy slowly stumble out of the ally with Yugi wrapped around him. He still looked and acted like a Hikari. He probably wasn't putting out enough darkness to properly sustain Yugi, and if Yugi was weak he wouldn't be able to cast enough light and they would both be weak.
The bond had been made there was nothing he could do about that, in fact it was probably better than his previous idea, At least if he could get the boy to draw out his darkness.
By this time Ryou had snapped out of it and was peaking around the corner with Bakura. "We should probably fallow him." Ryou was right, the boy was getting a little far away by this point. His dirty white shirt made him a little easier to spot. They would be able to see him for a little longer."Ryou call Malik tell him that we found Yugi and we need both of them here as soon as possible."
"Got it!" Ryou turned to call Malik.
Bakura turned to Ryou "Oh and tell him to be quiet when he gets here." Ryou gave a quick nod and turned back to his call.
Bakura thought that maybe he could scare him into using the shadows. It would be the easiest and quickest way of getting the boy to draw out his shadows.
By the time Bakura had turned around Malik and Marik had arrived. Bakura turned back to the group "Fallow me, and be quiet. This is important"
The boy had made it quite a way down the block even carrying Yugi who was only barely shorter than him. "You see the boy in the white shirt?"
Marik and Malik replied at the same time. "Yes."
"We're fallowing him. Don't hurt him."
"What's he carrying?"
"Yugi."
"Waamrhh!"
Bakura had shoved his hand over Marik's mouth. "They bonded you Idiot, Yugi will be fine."
"Giff ohf."
"Let's go." Bakura turned the corner first.
They stopped when they saw the boy turn and walk into a house; a house that did not fit the boy at all. It was clean and neat, something the boy's stained and oversized clothes were definitely not. A glance at his surroundings showed the house was also identical to those around it: neat little garden, perfectly trimmed lawn, white washed siding. The only difference he could really tell was the number, this one was number four as opposed to numbers two and six on either side.
The boy had, by now, figured out how to open the door without dropping Yugi and was entering the nauseatingly average house.
