Chapter 22

Harry’s P.O.V:

It was Christmas Eve. She was out of the hospital, but she was unable to walk or drive. She was in a wheelchair. I felt so incredibly bad. She rolled in to the living room holding a blanket around her waist. “I hate this thing..” She mumbled under her breath. I smiled and kissed her. I looked around the kitchen where Niall had attempted to make a cake, but messed up by accidentally almost eating it all. Louis was suposed to be back soon. It was Louis’ birthday and we were surprising him and Eleanor by throwing a “surprise” party. Eleanor knew about it, and Madi was texting her as we got it ready. “Can you help me on to the couch?” She asked sweetly. I nodded and picked her up bridal style, kissing her in my arms. She wrapped her arms around my neck and lightly kissed me. “You can put me down you know,” She said, staring at my lips. “I don’t want to..” I breathed against her neck. So I sat with her. I heard the door unlock and Niall ran over with the cake. He slipped and fell, the cake falling everywhere on him. Louis and Eleanor opened the door in shock. “Oops?” Niall said licking his lips. Madi laughed like she hadn’t since the whole surgery thing.

My P.O.V:

Harry ran over to Louis to wish him a happy birthday. They embraced as Niall sat in the pile of cake with Liam by his side trying to clean it up. Zayn was sitting laughing in a corner, and I was sitting on the couch as Eleanor came over and sat by me. “Aren’t we the luckiest girls alive?” I smiled. “Yes, I think we are.” I said. She patted my shoulder, and got up and embraced Louis. Harry came back over to me and pulled me in for a kiss. “If I could get up and hug you Lou, I would!” I said, gesturing him over so I could wish him happy birthday. He smiled and came over to hug me. Harry pulled me in for a kiss, and I grinned against his lips. The rest of the day was filled with us wishing him birthday wishes, yada yada. Harry was laying me in bed due to the fact that I was completely paralyzed waist down, but it isn’t permanent, and he pushed his body closer to mine. I smiled. He laid beside me, staring at me with his deep sea green eyes. I couldn’t unlock my eyes from his gaze, it was too mesmerizing. He grinned and kissed my neck. I felt chills shimmer throughout my spine. I felt my legs for a second there, which surprised me. “HARRY?” I said abruptly. “What?” He asked, sitting straight up. “I felt my legs.. I don’t know why.. I felt them moving…” He smiled from ear to ear and nuzzled my neck roughly. I giggled.

Harry’s P.O.V:

She was asleep beside me, excited for tomorrow which was Christmas. I had already got her something, but I had absolutely no idea what she was going to say. I sat up for half the night looking at her sleep, and praying that she would say yes tomorrow. The night was hell to sleep through. There was a lot of tossing and turning. But when I woke up, she was laying beside me, stretching her arms and rubbing her eyes. “Ready to go into the living room, babe?” I asked, kissing her noise. She nodded, yawning. I grinned. i carried her outside into the living room where everyone was sitting on the couches or on the floor comfortably. I set her on the couch and sat there with her, gripping her hand tightly. Eleanor and Louis sat next to us, Liam and Hannah sat across from us, and Zayn and Niall sat on the floor throwing stuff at each other. “Okay, well, I’ll give my first one to Eleanor..” Louis said, bending on the floor. She opened the gift to see a charm bracelet. “Oh my gosh, Lou, it’s amazing… you didn’t have too..” She said over and over and Louis just smiled and kissed her. Everyone was exchanging gifts, then it came to Madi. “Well, Lou, get that box for me… Yeah, that one,” She ordered. She looked at me straight in the eye with a smile. “I don’t know if it’s good enough…” She said. I opened it, smiling and laughing and saw it was a collage of pictures of us. Everywhere. When we were best friends as little kids to us in the hospital. I felt tears forming in the corners of my eyes. “It’s the most amazing gift I have ever gotten, I love you,” I said pulling her in for a passionate kiss. Then it came to my turn. I smiled and got down on one knee. I heard Hannah and Eleanor gasp, and Madi’s eyes get incredibly wide. “Madi, I know that we’ve only been dating a short time, but we’ve known each other forever and I know that we have been ‘interested’ in each other ever since we met. I wanted to know if you would become my wi-” I was interrupted by a loud scream. “YES! OF COURSE I WILL!” She said, launching herself at me. “How did you do that?” She smiled and shrugged. “OH MY GOD.” She said, and I laughed, pulling her in for a passionate kiss.
