I grew up obsessed to horror movies and thrillers, because of this small things never scare me. My friend would try and I'd end up scaring them, I almost used to believe I couldn't be scared until this happened.
About 2 weeks ago I was walking up in the Appalachian trails, I had made it about half way threw my hike when I decided to move off trail a bit and set up camp. I wasnt overly prepared but I knew I had enough supplies to make it a night. Before too long I had everything ready and even a small fire going.
I was settling in to bed shortly after 11pm the fire was burning a small fire and all my food was packed away. I slowly started to drift off when I was awoken by a blood curdling scream.
I got out my my tent and I started to look around, the scream wasnt far off maybe 50 yards to the north up the hill. I went up the hill only to find a pool of blood, nothing else no prints, or any other sign of something being here. I called the police and about an hour later they had managed to track where I was on the trail.
They asked me a few questions, if I heard anything, seen anything, how far I was away I was from the blood pool. That was fairly normal, after an hour they had me taken out of there and told me to go home and forget about this. The next morning I was reading the paper and there was a small section where people can put there own entrys I seen a missing person's report.
It was strange, it was explaining how there friend had been hiking along Appalachian trail just as I and they never returned home. They should have been home early on this week but never showed. The person had apparently went to the cops but they told her not to worry that her friend would be found. Was that the person I heard scream last night, should I contact this person. If the pool of blood I found belonged to this person's friend why was she so close the exit of the trail but was apparently missing. There's a phone number in the news paper should I call it?
