CHAPTER 3
Ella P.O.V

I woke up from my nightmare I was having around 5:00. I've started to get used to them now. So instead of going back to sleep I went and ate breakfast. It was around 6:00 when my mom came down to go to work.

"Where were you last night?" she asked.

"Oh I was at a friends house, I got home around 12:00" I said back.

"Oh what's her name?" she asked.

"Mom it's a guy, his name is Kale" I replied while rolling my eyes.

"Oh.......well have a good day then" she said while walking out the door.

After I was done eating I went up saris and got ready. I put on a pair of black colored shorts, with a gray top that says New York on it with black lettering, and a pair of all black converse. Then I rode to school.

When I got there I went to my locker to put all my stuff in my locker. After that I went to homeroom. When I got into the class I saw Kale sleeping on the desk. I went and sat in my chair and poked him on the cheek.

"Wakey, wakey" I said in his ear.

He jumped and opened his eyes.

"Oh hey, when did you get here" he replied groggily.

"A little bit ago" I said and smiled.

"Well nice to see you" he said while laughing.

A couple minutes later the teacher walked in and started droning on about triangles and all the angles we need to know for the year. I was so happy when that class was over. After I said goodby to Kale I walked to the historical literacy class. I sat down in the back alone when someone came and sat beside me.

"You look gorgeous today" Cade said.

"Why are you sitting next to me?" I asked him.

"What I can't sit next to you? Is this seat taken?" he rudely said back.

"Well no it's not taken, but..." I couldn't finish my statement before he cut in.

"Well then looks like I be sitting here doesn't it" he said while smirking

That class was really boring. Nobody wants to learn about the Revolutionary War. And Cade was annoying the whole class. He kept throwing little eraser pieces at me.

"Hey Kale," I said smiling.

"Hey hey hey, Do you want to come off campus for lunch with me?" He asked.

"Sure" I replied while smiling.

When we got out of the school and in the parking lot he asked me where I wanted to go and I told him to Taco Bell. He started laughing but agreed. When we got to Taco Bell we both got out of the car and got into line.

"So Ella, what do you want to be when your older?" he asked me.

"Well I am thinking about being a physical therapist, but it could change." I said back.

"Oh that's cool" he said with a smile.

"What do you want to be?" I asked him back.

"Well it's not a for sure thing but probably a lawyer because they get to help people if they need it but in a different way than a doctor. Do you know what I mean?" He said with a strange expression on his face.

"Yeah I get what your saying" I replied.

After we got done eating we got back into the car and headed back to school.

"Hey thank you for taking me and paying for me Kale, you really didn't have to!" I told him.

"It was my pleasure Ella. Maybe we can go some other time." He asked with high hopes.

"I would love to!" I replied.

When we got back to the school the bell rang. So Kale and I went to language arts together. We got this project.

Due in two weeks:
- Read The Giver
- Find a partner
- Do a presentation with your partner on your prospective of what happened

Kale and I were obviously partners. We were going to meet this Saturday and read the book together. After science and art I rode home and found a note on the counter; I'll be gone for two to four weeks left $1000 in the fridge. Wow shocker mom is leaving again. I was upset so I texted Kale.

Me: Hey :(

Kale: Hi and what's wrong?

Me: Nothing you wouldn't understand..

Kale: I can try

Me: Do you want to come over?

Kale: Sure I'll be over in 10.

I went upstairs and put a pair of sweatpants and sweatshirt on. Then I put my hair in a messy bun. After I was done the door ball rang. I went and opened it and there stood Kale hold two buckets of ice cream and a dozen roses.
