She Knows How To Play The Game

"Oh, shit balls!" Elisha gasped in her seat on the plane, pulling out her ear buds, "You scared me-" She paused, realising who it was who was next to her and her face scrunched up in confusion, "Natalie? What are you doing here?!" She spoke, shocked.
"I decided not to stay." I answered and even I could hear the dead tone my voice had taken on. I blanked her as I pulled the stuff I would need out of my backpack, before shoving it in the overhead.

I sat down, automatically holding up the complimentary pillow and blanket and buckling my seatbelt.
"Nat? What happened?" She asked, her face still scrunched up.
"I don't want to talk about it." I replied, plugging in my headphones to the little screen in front of me. It was a touch screen and I went through the motions of finding a bunch of films to keep me occupied for the duration of the flight. I could feel Leash's gaze on me as I blatantly ignored her. Then the faint chimes of my phone started to ring. I pulled my mobile out of my pocket and Chan's face flashed across my screen. It felt like I was being stabbed in the chest I couldn't breathe. I instantly cancelled the call and then turned on airplane mode.
"Nata-" Elisha was cut off by her own phone and she answered it right away, "Hey Kai what's up. . . I'm on the plane now so I won't be able- Natalie?" She paused to look at me, "Have I seen her? Well, she's actually sitting next to me." There was another slight pause before she spoke up again, "Hey ninja. . . What did you do? Oh, ok." She then offered her phone to me. I looked at it at first before hesitantly taking it from her, but I hung up the call, turning her phone on airplane mode too.
"We'll be setting of soon. . ." I handed her mobile back, like it was nothing before I put my headphones back in.
"Natalie what the hell, dude?! Why'd you do that for?" She yelled, gaining some attention from the fellow passengers.
"I don't want to talk about it!" I spoke through gritted teeth, as I didn't want to take it out on her.

Then the voice of the Captain came on instructing us of the flight and to keep our seatbelts on before a video came on and it went over their safety procedures. I watched it intently like it was the most important thing on the planet. I then spent the rest of the flight either asleep or with my headphones in, however I still felt Elisha's eyes on me the entire flight.

*** Two weeks later.

"I don't know mum! She won't tell me anything!" Elisha paused to breathe and I leant back in my chair to better hear her. I was in my room, which was at the front of the house and was once the spare bedroom when I was living here with my EX fiancé.
It was a three floor house; when you open the front door you would step into the small cream living room. Then four steps in on the hardwood flooring it would change to cream carpet and a steep, narrow staircase was on the right, which lead to the bedrooms. Walking around the corner from the stairs was a tiny hallway; on the left was the huge black and white, tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bath that had a shower attached. Once you got to the end of the hallway there were more steep stairs that lead down to basement that was converted into a massive kitchen.

I couldn't stay in the other bedroom when 'he' left, besides my wardrobe was in this room anyway and it was easier to move the bed that the closet.
When opening my door you can see the old fashion traits of the house as there was once a fireplace on the left but was boarded up. My white chest-of-drawers were stacked on top of each other in front of it now. My 50inch TV on top of them. So it was in line with the bed. The walls were white and the carpet matched the stairs and hallway. It was rented, so decorating wasn't on the agenda. My double bed was against the right wall and my wardrobe was along the same wall as the door. A massive window would greet you when you open the door.

I had converted my vanity table that was in the little nook on the left of the room, into a work table. I was working on some pages for the drama. I then peered down at the clock on my screen and could see it was nearly four in the evening. Elisha was just coming in from work and she was on the phone; I didn't work on Friday's.
"All she does is work! Barely eats, just working and writing!" She made me realise then, I hadn't eaten all day, "The guys are freaking out, especially with Kris now leaving." Kris is leaving? I wondered, but ignored it. I want nothing to do with them!
