Demi's POV;
"I. AM. NOT. CRAZY." She screamed in my face as if I stood a mile apart from her. I squinted my eyes a little, before watching her flee upstairs as fast as she could. Almost as if she was going to have a panic attack. But if I was honest, she had been on the verge of panic attacks since the moment I saw her. I rubbed my cheek again and then slowly felt its bone. That was going to turn into a visible bruise. My head pointed at the ceiling when I heard the girl banging something against the door repeatedly. This house was so fragile that I could see sand falling from the cracks of the first floor. Some fumes slowly fell to the dusty overgrown floor, and some got caught in the endless amounts of spiderwebs in the corners of the ceilings.
What the hell did I get myself into? Who even was this girl? Was this her house? Didn't she have any family or friends? And my biggest concern was why the hell she locked me up here. I found myself staring at the place on the wall I had crashed against when the girl pushed me back while moving my jaws from left to right. It still hurt. She was so violent. Didn't she have any respect for other people? I had to do something to get out of here. Perhaps I could manipulate her into opening up the shutters. If only she would loosen up a bit. Maybe I had something in my pockets that would interest her, something that could start a conversation. Perhaps she needed something from me, but she was too mentally disturbed to tell me. Because heck, she truly was mentally disturbed. I felt around my pockets, feeling around until I pulled out a small sack.
I looked at the LSD pills inside the plastic thing. I still had them for my appointment with this guy today. He'd give me quite a lot of money for it. If I didn't get out of here, that appointment would be a big waste of his time. The first thought that popped up in my mind was that drugging her would be a little too cruel. But I guess this was a case of kidnapping. I don't think I had another choice. This girl was probably quite impulsive and easy to talk into things. And if she really has lived here for God knows how many years, she was probably also yearning for more stimuli.
I slowly walked upstairs, scared that each stair might give in to the weight of my body. I looked around to find the girl. But the sound of the banging was easy to track. I knocked on the door, holding the sack of pills in my hand. "Uh.. Selena was it?" I placed my ear against the barrier between us after she stopped banging against it. "Y-yes?" She hesitatingly replied. "I have something for us. Maybe you'll like it." I pretended that I also was about to take the pill. I heard her standing up, but she didn't open up yet. "What is it? If you're gonna pull out that.. monster again, I'm not coming." She sounded scared, referring to my empty gun. "No, I left it downstairs." I replied honestly, knowing she wouldn't trust me with it.
I now heard her unlocking the door, making me step back so she could open up. I held up the plastic sack with a smile to show it to her. "Show me the insides of your pockets." She demanded without even looking at it. My smile disappeared. "..What?" I frowned. "Just do it." "Uhh.." I quickly began scrambling around. It was quite the task she gave me because my pockets were my replacement for a backpack. I didn't have enough money for one. I had to spread my fingers widely to keep the stuff I took out balancing on my hands. A pocket knife, some hair ties, toothpaste, some candy, matches, my cigarettes, some trash, and a pen. I was lucky I didn't have to take out my phone as well because I'd drop everything. Her wide eyes were on my pocket knife as if the object occupied her entire mind. "O- Okay.. What uhh.. what is that thing you had?" She asked nervously.
I now placed every object back in my pockets, making sure I didn't forget to keep out the pills. "This." I held it up again, showing the sack. "What's that?" She frowned at it. "Well they certainly look like LSD pills to me, don't they?" I took out one of the happy colored pills, trying to sound like those people in commercials. "I.. uh.. What do they do?" She stuttered, not sure whether to trust it. I shrugged my shoulders. "They make you feel funny and euphoric I guess." She stared at the pill without saying a word. "I do like that feeling." She confessed, quickly opening the door a little further. I tried to hold back my laughter as I placed the pill in her hands. "One pill should be enough. Bottoms up." I tapped my pill against Selena's. She didn't dare to take hers yet. "I'm kinda scared." She spoke. "Why? it'll be fun." I took Selena's pill from her fingers. "Open up." I demanded. She slowly opened her mouth.
