this misunderstanding life
i wish i could tell you.
it cuts like a knife
it stays inside me too.
the blade twists when it can see the sun
so i have to stay inside.
but sometimes the curtains open and that is no fun
so carefully i have to hide.

the curtains open whenever they like
and boy do they pack a strike.
my bedroom is the only place okay
but the curtains wont let me stay.
i wish i could pull the knife out
because thats what this is all about.

the curtains have a face
and so does the sun.
theyre both from the same place
and both want me undone.
curtains are supposed to protect
but its much more perplex.
i wish i could pull the knife out
because thats what this is all about.
