As I was loaded into the governor's truck, he led me to the passengers seat. I sat down and tried not to make eye contact. He began driving off along the road, glancing over at me from time to time. After a few awkward minutes, he finally spoke.
"Rick was pretty fast to give you up.....you aren't gonna be any trouble, are you?" He asked sternly. "I don't know, wanna find out?" I muttered under my breath. He looked back at the road. "I'm only keeping you until they give up the prison. Once that happens, you're free to go." He assured. "They're NEVER giving you that prison.....I swear by it." I growled. This guy wasn't about to scare me. He glared at me, before turning his eyes back on the road. "I never caught your name....." he growled, getting irritated with my stubbornness. "I wouldn't tell you if my life depended on it...." I replied. He slammed the brakes and slipped a gun from its holster, before holding it to my head and grabbing me by the arm. "You're gonna tell me SOMETHING.........wether it's your name, your age, or something about the prison, but you WILL tell me something........" He seethed, pressing the gun into my hair. I inhaled a shaky breath. "My name is Kansas......are you happy now?...." I muttered. Trying to hide my fear. "CUT THAT ATTITUDE WITH ME!" He shouted. Shaking me and tightening his grip on my left arm. I nodded nervously before he released his grasp and put the gun away.

The truck pulled into a decent sized town. Eyes began to wander in our direction, as the car slowed to a stop, Dead in the center of the place. I hopped out, as the governor slammed the driver door shut, as I left my door ajar. Everyone's eyes were fixated on me completely. They watched my every movement as I stepped further out in front of the car. The governor quickly covered his scowl with a smile. "Don't worry, everyone. She's only staying with us for a little while. I assure you, she is no trouble.....isn't that right, Kansas?....." he asked, gritting his teeth. "Mkay...." I replied smugly. I knew he wasn't about to beat me or stab me in front of all his little followers, and if I had a chance to be smart with this guy, I wasn't gonna pass it up. He glared at me, before turning back to face the crowd. He stood in silence, before clearing his throat.
"Milton, do you mind taking this girl to a room?...." he asked. A man with short hair and thin framed glasses rushed up and nodded. "What are you? His little assistant?" I asked sarcastically. "Yes, actually. That's exactly what I am....." he replied, a little confused as to why I found this so amusing. I paused before bursting into laughter. Everyone stared. Especially the governor. He was more confused, then angry, however. "What's so funny?....." he asked, turning his full attention towards me.
"I'm sorry I-.....I can't-....g-give me a minute." I said, inhaling heavily as I laughed.
"It's just-.....you're like, the most cliché 'bad guy' ever!" I said as my laughter attacked me, causing my face to grow sore. ".....bad guy....." I repeated, making quotations with my fingers. Milton fumbled with his pen before jotting something down on his clipboard. The governor just stared at me, absolutely expressionless before shaking his head. "Okay.... Milton, room. Kansas, behave. I have things to do, alright?" He stated with annoyance, before walking off.
I skipped behind Milton as he led me around. Scanning different doors and buildings. He stopped in front of one, and knocked on the door, before walking in. He peeked his head back out and stared at me. "Please, follow." He said, motioning at me to follow him inside. I stepped in and looked around. A decent sized house. With a kitchen, living room, and bedroom. "You can stay here for now....." he said whilst writing things down. I walked up to him and pulled the clipboard down to my eye level. "Timothy, to the.....a-are-.....ARENA!" I read off the paper. He quickly snatched it back and glared at me. "What's the arena?...." I asked curiously. "Listen, I need to go, alright?....." he asked annoyed, before walking out.

Arena?...... what did he mean by that?.....
