Safe and Sound (A Louis Tomlinson Fanfic)

Chapter 12.

Gabrielle's P.O.V.

"May?" I asked again her brown eyes turning to look into my blue. Her eyes widened as she stared, taking in that it was me.

"Gabrielle?" A smile came across both of our faces as I nodded. Tears came into her eyes. "Oh my gosh, it's you!" She exclaimed. I left Louis' grip as I crashed her into a hug. Crying along with her. "I-I thought you were d-d-dead. But, no, he-here you are w-w-with One Dir-direction."

I laughed through my tears. "Louis, here, saved my life." I said letting go of my bestfriend and going into my boyfriend's arms. Before I knew it, May embraced Louis into a hug.

"I fucking love you for saving her." He laughed and hugged her back.

"Love you too." She smiled, "I'm a huge fan to. Just saying." Louis hugged her tighter. "There ya go!" Harry said as the rest of the boys hugged her as well.

I nudged her, "So, who's your favorite?"

She looked down at her feet, "Harry." I heard her murmur. I squealed and she blushed. My job will be to get them together. May went and sat down on the curb, where I first spotted her. We all joined her, I set the picture frame next to me.

"May?" I asked. She looked at me. "What happened to my house?"

She looked down, "It caught on fire. A year ago from today. I come here everyday, and just sit here. Reminiscing, I guess."

I felt tears in my eyes. "Where are my parents?" I asked.

Her face fell and she sighed. "They- They died in the fire. Along with my family "

My tears fell. "What caused it?"

"A candle fell over, our parents were downstairs. The smoke detectors never went off. They didn't make it out in time. Gab, I'm so sorry." She hugged me.

"It's not your fault, May. You lost your family to." She nodded, "I know. I just feel terrible.You come here to see them and you come back to this."

I shook my head, "It's better I found out now, then never. Besides, I got to see you." I wiped my tears.

After about an hour of talking I decided it was time to go get a hotel til we get a plan to leave."You can stay at my house. I live alone now. The same house."

I shook my head, "Are you sure? There's a lot of us."

She nodded, "You can stay as long as you want."  

I smiled, "We only have a week."

She smiled back, "Then we have a lot of catching up to do."

I turned to the boys. "What do you say?" I asked Paul with hopeful eyes.

He smiled, "Of course."

I smiled walking into the familiar house. The smell was the same, nothing changed much. The walls where still blue, the floor was still hardwood.

"Nothing changed." I smiled tears coming to my eyes.

"Nope. I kept it the same. Follow me guys. I'll show you where you can stay." We walked up the steps.

"Okay. She has three extra bedrooms. Me and Lou in one. Niall and Zayn in the other.  Uhm. Harry, Liam, Paul. You guys decide what you wanna do."

Harry smirked, "I wouldn't mind sharing a room with May." I looked to May was blushing insanely.

"Deal!"I said a little to fast causing Lou to laugh.

"You guys can decide who takes the bed. Lou, we're sharing one- I'm not sleeping on the floor." I joked pulling my stuff into May's guest room.

"Fine by me." Louis winked. 

May's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe it. My best friend was back. With One Direction. 

"Uh, this might be a little embarrassing. But, I have One Direction and Justin Bieber posters all over my room." I blushed. Fuck you Gabi for making him share a room with me. Harry smiled showing off his beautiful dimples.

"That's quite alright, love." He said making me want to melt.

I opened up my door revealing my room that's been the same since I was 14.

The walls were black and one wall was splatter painted. The rug was blue and the ceiling was black. My queen size bed in the middle. I'll admit it. I'm a little more on the tom-boy side.

"Nice room." Harry smiled.

"Thank you. I don't want this to sound awkward, but you don't have to sleep on the floor. We can just share the bed or I can take the floor." I offered. He looked at me- his green eyes deep into my brown ones. Uh-oh. Maybe that was a weird offer.

"I think sharing the bed would be great." I felt myself blush again. Jesus. I walked over to my mini fridge bringing out a monster.

"Want one?" He nodded and I threw him one. He caught it with ease.

"You can just put your stuff in that dresser. I don't use it. I'm gonna go talk to Gab. Feel free to help yourself with anything."

He smiled,"Thanks, May." My heart stopped when he said my name. I smiled back and quickly shuffled out of the room.

"Gabrielle Samthana Hall!" I yelled at her when I saw her in the kitchen by herself.

"May Elizabeth Kingsway!" She yelled back laughing. "I can't believe you made Harry room with me!"

She laughed, "You two will get along great and you'll grow up and have beautiful babies." I glared at her. "Oh come on! I just got back, you can't be mad at me." She give me a puppy dog face making me laugh.

"I know. Can we go shopping?" She laughed, "Yeah. Let me go tell the boys and stuff."

She started walking away,"Invite them. I'd love to get to know them more."

"You mean Harry." She winked and walked off.

The boys went there seperate ways while me and Gab went to Forever 21. "Gab?" I asked. She looked at me. "What happened to you while you were gone?" Her face fell. "You don't have to answer it. I was just so worried. Everyone was. I cried every day. I went into really bad depression, cause I thought you were dead."

She hugged me and when she let go, she began talking- "I was kidnapped by this guy named Derek Hamilton. He took me to England where he raped me, beat me, and did every horrible thing possible. On my birthday, the one that just passed, he was taking me somewhere. We were at a red light on an abadoned street and he tried to rape me again. I saw a car in the distance and before I knew it it slammed into us. I woke up at a hospital where One Direction was. Louis told me he hit the car and Derek died instantly. I've been living with Lou and Haz since. They got plane tickets for here and here I am!" She said wiping the tears.

"Oh my gosh. Gab."

She nodded, "I know that stuff only happens in the movies right?" I nodded in agreement. "It doesn't matter. I have my best friend back and that's all that counts!"
