The Phase 0 series was inspired by a plot where 5sos was trying to beat up Luke's ex Arzaylea. As soon as the series developed, it became known as Phase 1 with inspiration from kids' superhero shows like the PJ Masks and Miraculous Ladybug.

Also the characters as of Season 3 were inspired by different people like the following:

Adrien Cheng: Might be based on my old BFF's father who has Chinese roots. His superhero form is based on Grigri from the French picture book version of the PJ Masks.

Ben Cheng: I dunno anyone Chinese named Ben but it's more of a random name I pick. His superhero from was based on one of the superheroes from my old book, The Night Knights.

Ashton Irwin: Based on 5sos member Ashton Irwin who is the daddy of the band. His superhero form is based on The Hulk and Smash! which was Ashton's superhero alter-ego in the Don't Stop music video.

Isabella Ho: She is based on my BFF's mom who is actually Filipina and not Chinese. Her superhero form wis based on Fairygirl from my old Night Knight series and Lilifee from the Frech picture book version of the PJ Masks.

Billy Cheng: This was actually based on my dad's old colleague from Hong Kong. I don't want to be rude or anything but he only had a minor role. His superhero form is based on Ulbert from the French picture book version of the PJ Masks.

Leah Cheng: This also might be a random name I picked but I used the name Leah to reference Leah Rouge. Her superhero form is based on Ivy's superhero form back in Phase 0 of A Crazy EX Battle.

Kayla Irwin: I might've taken the name Kayla from KK's full name from Phase 0. Also her original name was actually Kylie. Her superhero form is based on a scrapped villain from the PJ Masks.

Kris: I am not an EXO fan because I hate KPOP but Kris is based on former member Kris Wu.

Michael Irwin: This character is based on Michael Clifford from 5sos and I made him a teenager. His superhero form is based on Michael's superhero alter-ego from the Don't Stop music video. Also his powers are radioactive because some people believe that microwaves are radioactive.

Crystal Leigh: Based on Michael's girlfriend in real life. Her superhero form might be a play on her name cuz her name is Crystal and I need a good crystal themed superhero name so I used Crystallite. Her original name was Stellacgirl but it sounds weird.

Calum Irwin: Based on Calum Hood from 5sos. His superhero form is based on Robin from Young Justice(because Calum's old hairstyle looks like Robin) and his superhero alter-ego from the Don't Stop music video. Also he said that he looks ridiculous so I made him look cooler by making him have the Justic League attitude.

Wenjie Huang: She was based on an Australian Youtuber named Wengie. After knowing that she's an Aussie, I decided to make her a hero. Her superhero from was inspired by a superhero named Bunnix from Miraculous ladybug.

Collins Key: He is based on one of my favorite Youtubers named Collins Key. Since he was a magician, I decided to make his superhero form more magician-themed like cards, magic etc.

Alan Stokes: He is based on a Youtuber who has a twin brother named Alex. His superhero form was inspired by Louis' superhero form in Phase 0 and a Dragon Miraculous from Miraculous Ladybug.

Alex Stokes: He is based on a Youtuber who has a twin brother named Alan. His superhero form was inspired by Harry's superhero form in Pase 0 and a Fox Miraculous from Miraculous Ladybug.

Nia Lovelis: She is based on Hey Violet drummer, Nia Lovelis.

Brent Rivera: He is based on one of my favorite Youtubers named Brent Rivera. His superhero form was inspired by Zayn's superhero alter-ego in Phase 0. Also his name might be a play on Avril Lavigne's song, 'Sk8er Boi'

Jenny: Based on an older student I know. She's currently in Grade 11.

Luke Irwin: He is based on Luke Hemmings from 5sos. His superhero form was inspired by Thor and his superhero alter-ego from the Don't Stop music video.

Sierra Deaton: She is based on Luke's girlfriend in real life. Her superhero form was inspired by Arzaylea's villain alter-ego from Phase 0. Which is why I made Arzaylea stole her amulet.

Rena Lovelis: She is based on bassist and now lead singer from Hey Violet, Rena Lovelis. Her superhero form was inspired by how I imagined myself as a mermaid when I was little. And I made her superhero name, Marena which is more like Marina but replaced with an 'e'.

Devan Key: He is based on my favorite Youtuber's brother, Devan Key. As I developed his personality, I was inspired by 5 Feet Apart so I made him have Cystic Fibrosis. His superhero form might be loosely based on an owl that appears in Collins Key's Youtube videos.

Shawn Irwin: The character is based on Shawn Mendes. His superhero form is based on Carapace from Miraculous Ladybug and a ninja turtle.

Niall Horan: The character is based on Niall from One Direction. His superhero form is based on Viperion from Miraculous Ladybug.

Sheryl Lau: She is based on my classmate's sister who is currently in Grade 10. Her superhero form is based on Queen Bee from Miraculous Ladybug.

Ashley Frangipine: Based on a singer named Halsey but I decided to use her real name instead of her stage name.

Jacob Sartorius: He is based on Youtuber and Singer Jacob Sartorius. His superhero form is based on Pegase from Miraculous Ladybug.

Raphael Irwin: He is based on one of my male classmates from school and he is also Chinese. His superhero form is based on Catboy from the PJ Masks.

Sung Mi Choi: She is based on my classmate who is half Thai half Korean. Her superhero form is based on an unnamed masked leopard kid from the original PJ Masks picture book.

Yuto Irwin: He is also based on one of my classmates and he is half Japanese half Thai. His superhero form is based on one of the foot ninjas from TMNT and Night Ninja from the PJ Masks.

Aidan Irwin: He is also based on one of my classmates and he is half American half Thai. His superhero form is based on Gekko from the PJ Masks.

Zoe Irwin: She is actually my character and I put my personality into her. My superhero form is based on Owlette from the PJ Masks and she's my favorite character.

Thaiyo Irwin: He is based on my classmate who is half Thai half Japanese. His superhero form is based on Armadylan from the PJ Masks.

Gun Rose: She is based on my old classmate and my childhood friend from school. Her superhero form is based on a character from my old book series, Night Knights.

Anyu Chan: Kinda based on a PJ Masks character and Ryuko from Miraculous Ladybug. Also 'Long Hu' is Chinese for Dragon Tiger.

Tanya Leong: Based on my best friend from school who is half Chinese-Malaysian half Thai. Her superhero form is based on her own superhero she drew which is loosely based on Chara from Undertale.

Sofia Cheng: Based on my childhood bestie who is Chinese-Filipina. Her superhero form is based on an upcoming Zag hero Pixiegirl and Fairygirl from Night Knights.

Stella Cheng: Based on my bestie's sister who is also Chinese-Filipina. Her superhero form is based on Butterflygirl from Night Knights.

Lila Ring: Loosely based on a liar from Miraculous Ladybug.

Arzaylea Rodriguez: Based on Luke's ex which I portrayed her as a psycho mean girl.

Abigail Breslin: Based on Michael's 'ex' which I portrayed her as a goth and lunatic.

Prem Rodriguez: Based on my male classmate whom I rival against alot and I even bullied him along with the other guys.

The series takes place in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia unlike Phase 0 which takes place in Los Angeles, California, United States.

I decided to make Season 3 focus on both Chinese and Australian culture.

The art style for the characters were inspired by anime(in my art book, you'll notice the characters have pointed chins and some might have ahoges. Also the chibi versions of themselves). The style is inspired by Doki Doki Literature Club, Yandere Simulator, Pokemon, Spirited Away and the Ladybug PV.
