You were a new student in a new kindergarten school, none of your friends from your old school was going to your new kindergarten so that was a shame.
You don't know how it happens but its really easy for you to make friends, you were quite popular...
You can hear the faint sounds of the school bell ring from the school. You and Nugget quickly left from the secrety secret lair and went outside.
Then the two of you went in the school and entered your separate classes, yours is in the smart kid class and Nugget is in the less smart kid class.
You opened the door to reveal the kids still waiting for Dr. Danner to arrive, you sigh in relieve and sat beside Penny.
You smile at her as you take a seat but she didn't even look back at you, she just lowered her head down and stayed quiet which you find pretty wierd because of how much she loved talking to people.
"Hey Penny, what's up?" You break the awkward silence, she just hums as an answer.
"Uummm, nice weather we're having...." You chuckle slightly, she smiles before frowning again.
"Okay, jokes over, what the pickle happened?" You say as you lean your head closer to Penny's. "N-nothing happened. Don't talk to me" She said before turning away and inched her chair ever so slightly away.
"Penny.....tell me whats wrong," You frown at her, she hesitated a bit before chukling and smiling. "Im fine silly, what makes you think something is wrong?" Her big toothy smile annoyed you somehow even if you used to love it when she smiles like that, but something about that smile seems different.
"I remembered yesterday your mom ended the school day early because she wanted to talk to you, what did she say?" You can see Penny's hands tremble slightly.
"Mom won't let me tell a-anyone....." She mumbled into her hands that were up to her chin. "Pleeasssee! We just won't tell her, how could she know if you tell me?" You give her a reassuring smile, she bit her lip. "Mom would stick this device somewhere in me and I cant get it out....it can hear what i say and what people say to me" She whispers to you without putting her mouth near your ear.
"Uuhhmm, then just tell me in a way without talking i-if you can....?" You shrugged, Penny paused before sighing.
Then she turned her back towards you again, you frown and lowered your head and thought maybe you should just let it go and shouldn't have bothered her in the first place until you noticed a part of Penny's skin, or well, metal looks a bit wierd shaped.
You can barely see it from the back of her neck. "Is your.....metal skin thing......dented?" You say as you placed your hand over the dent.
You can see her nod slightly, you find your hand all over her back and feel the deep dents and weird curves that weren't meant to be on a normal humans back.
"Yesterday....." She said barely above a whisper. "Oh, I'm sorry....." You gulped before positioning yourself to your original spot.
"Its fine (Y/N), Mom was pretty mad at me for disappearing randomly one night and well you saved me" She said before her hand on the table start to inch closer to yours.
"Saved you? Heh, I wouldn't say that" You blushed bright pink while Penny just chuckles. "But you did, I mean technically Monty also helped but you were actually......worried about me, no one has ever cared that much for me s-so thank you..." She covers her face in embarrasment.
You were absolutely flattered by her words but it got you thinking. "No one has ever cared that much for you? What about your mom, I mean she did harm you b-but did she ever-"
"No, she never acted like she cared about me. All I remeber the one memory of her ever showing affection towards me is when I got hit by a car....." Penny sighed and clenched her fist tight.
"Im..... I don't know what to say," You look to the side embarrassed. Penny chuckles.
"I don't blame you, I just don't understand why mom wouldn't love me the way other moms do to their children. I don't know where my fathers went but mom said he's in a better place now, what does that mean?" She turns her head towards you, you shrug.
"Well whatever it is, I hope dad would come back cause I don't remember alot about him. The only thing I remeber was that he gave me this hairband" Penny held onto her little bun on her head and took of her blue hairband.
You've never actually see Penny with her hair down but wow she's very pretty like that.

"Wh-what are you staring at?" She blushes light pink, you jerked your head and chuckled.
"You look cute like that, Penny! You should keep that style more often" You smiled at her, Penny's blush only darkens and starts to hide her face with her hair.
"Oh hush you" She laughs, the two of you started talking about some other stuff and it was really conforting. Even if everyone sees Penny as a big snitch, she can be a good listener and a real sweetheart if you get to know her better.
"You know, (Y/N)? You're lucky to have such great parents who are always there to look out for you" She smiles sadly, you started thinking about your parents and start to hug yourself, thinking you're your parents.
"I really am, b-but I hope that you and your mom would get along better somehow! Things always gets better if you think positively about it!" You say as you nudge Penny's elbow.
"I'll try to talk more with my mom, thanks (Y/N)" She said before you feel someone's fingers intertwined with yours.
Before you could react, the bell rang and someone pulled you quickly out the door, leaving Penny by herself. She frowned before putting on a fake smile at you and waved before you dissapeared to the hallways.
