It was almost the late aftrnoon, you were biking around the neighborhood just casually taking in on all the scenery. Being the little child you were, so kind and free from everyone and everthing negative. The wind blowing through your hair bringing you a nice breeze to widened your smile.
You see yourself stopping at the front of a playground, nobody was around which was understandable since the sky was turning yellow with purple-ish clouds. The playground was completely empty so you could play with anything you want without taking turns with other kids
In the corner of your eye, you see a figure with the same size as you. It looks like a toddler aswell, the closer they walk towards you the more familiar they become.
Pigtails, green overcoat.....
"Carla? Hey!" You waved out with a smile, Carla turns her attention to you with a slight shocked expression.
"(Y/N)? Heh, didn't know you'd be here. I thought I was the only 5 year old that was brave enough to be out of their house past four" She shrugs and parked her bike beside you.
"Well you're not entirely wrong, I kinda wanna go home right now but maybe I should play for awhile at this playground, wanna join?" You nudged your head towards the swings, Carla chuckled before nodding as the two of you dropped your bikes on the side of the road and went on the swings.
The both of you laughed at eachother as you start to push yourself on the swing, it swayed back and forth towards the sunset and back. It was an amazing view really.
"Carla? Are you not using the swings?" You questioned your best friend beside you, she shrugs.
"I will, just.....thinking about some stupid stuff" She chuckles, you stop yourself from swinging with your two legs.
"Stupid stuff like what?" You asked her, Carla sighs before kicking the dirt on the ground.
"Nothing that you should know about, uh.... actually....have you ever like like someone before?" Carla asked rather shyly which you thought was odd, you barely see her show even the slightest of shyness.
"Like like? Uhhhh....I dunno, I'm still a bit too younge to know those types of things. You?" You turn your head back to Carla, she stays quiet for a minute.
"Meh, guess so" She shrugged, your eyes lit up like fireworks.
"Wait- REALLY?! Tell me! Tell me! I promise I'll keep it as a secret" You say before pulling out your pinky towards her.
"Naah, not gonna say" Carla laughs, you pouted.
"Carlaaa! Pretty please with a cherry on top?" You cupped your hands together and gave Carla the puppy eyes. She laughs before she got up from the swings and went behind you, she starts to push you on the swings with a slight smile.
"Nope, it's my biggest deepest secret. I'd rather just push you instead" She chuckles.
"Oh come on, please? I will pinky swear to never tell anyone in my entire life! Not even my diary or parents!" You say with a nod after, Carla rubs her arm. She seems unsure if she should tell you.
"Okay fine, well since you're my best friend I'm just going to tell you hints of the person okay?" Carla raised an eyebrow with a smirk as she keeps gently pushing you forward. You frowned again but I guess hints is still better than nothing.
"Okay, spill"
"So uh, this kid is kinda new to the Kindergarten."
"Oooh! Okay, Okay! Nice"
"And well, I guess they're okay....I don't even know their......actually what's your gender?" Carla asked as she stops pushing you and held your waist.
"Shhh, let's not talk about that"
"I-okay..." Carla stammers before she continued pushing you.
