Rain.. it was raining out and I stared at the drops sliding down the window, I daydreamed a lot and it got me into trouble... a lot. "Nova, please pay attention to the test in front of you." I looked where the voice was coming from smiling at my teacher. I looked down at my desk and the test that was laying there, I was already done. "No way nova, how are you done already?" My friend whispered to me, I put my arm on my desk so I could rest my head. "I'm bored" I said back to her as a response. I grabbed my phone from my pocket checking the time, 10 minutes til lunch. I decided to go through IG, since I had to wait for lunch. Then I seen him.. luke. I hearted his new post on Instagram. My phone vibrated in my hand making me excited, the screen showed I had a text.

I decided I'll check it later at lunch, I looked out the window again seeing it stopped raining. It still looked dark and gloomy, making me sigh at the site. "Nova, Hand in your test since you don't want to pay attention to it." My teacher said looking at me. I got up, grabbing my test walking to her desk in the front of the class. I put it down in front of her and just walked out of the classroom, not looking back either. "Hey nova! Why you out early?" My best friend put his arm around my neck now walking with me to the cafeteria. "I finished my test early" I said digging in my pocket for my lunch money, I hated lunch everyone wanted to be first to get the fries too.. and there my favourite! "Hey I got us today!" He smiled down at me, grabbing his wallet out of his pocket. "So you didn't read my text?" He shook his head, we got into the line up. "Uh no, I was gunna read it at lunch" I said truthfully "why?" I looked at him now. "Well, read it and I'll get our fries" he said leaving me there since the line was small still, he went in to get our lunches. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and walked to an open table.

I smiled at his sweetness but I know for sure I won't be wanted there, I put my phone on the table and looked back to see calum talking to his friends. Luke, Michael and Ashton and their groupies. The boys were very popular here and calum was the only one who wanted to be my friend, we eventually became best friends. He defends me always, my knight in shinning armour. "Nova, you wanna come sit with me and the boys?" Calum suddenly asked me, his eyes had a lot of hope in them. "Uh, maybe I shouldn't.." I laughed taking my lunch from him, he looked back at his friends and saw how the girls were looking at me. "Nevermind, I'll just sit with you instead" he smiled and put his tray down next to mine. "Oh, did you read my message then?" He asked sitting down beside me. "Uh, I did.." I kept my eyes on my food, but I knows he's burning a hole through my face waiting for an answer. "Well?" He looked at me waiting for my response, I grabbed a couple of fries from his plate. "I don't know calum" I said eating them, watching his facial expression. "I knew you were going to say that, so I talked to luke about the guest list" he said smiling, I was curious now. "What did you do?" I looked at him, he just had this smug look on his face. "Let's just say senpai will notice you now." He laughed mocking me. I slapped his arm playfully "that's not funny calum" I went back to eating my fries, someone came to join us at our table. I didn't bother to look up because calum started talking to them. It's not any of my friends if calum is talking to them. "Ah, Yes this is my plus one" calum said putting his arm around me, I built up the courage to look up. It's ... Ashton?!? He smiled at me, getting ready to be ignored I didn't bother to say anything. "Hey, I'm Ashton. I've been dying to meet you since calum been hogging you to himself" he said looking at me, he brought up his hand for me to shake. "Uh, yeah I'm Nova" i said nervously, calum saw how I was acting and instantly started talking to Ashton. "I didn't think you guys deserved to hang out with someone actually cool" he said grabbing my hand and squeezing it to reassure me it was ok. Ashton started laughing with calum. "So I'm guessing you didn't tell her yet" Ashton said stealing some fries from calum, stuffing them into his mouth. "I was just about to then you came" calum huffed at Ashton, making Ashton put his hands up in defence. "I'll leave you too it, see you around nova" he got up and went back to his friends, leaving me and calum to talk. "K you see, I talked to luke and the guys and said you were cool and they said they wanna meet you for once so it's not really a party... it will just be us and the boys" he said looking at me, waiting for my response. "I knew you did something" I slapped his arm playfully "oh please nova, the guys really wanna meet you" he said now on his knees, my face was starting to burn up as people looked our way. "Ok ok, I will , just please get up" I said now looking down at my food to avoid eye contact with anyone. "Yay, I'll let the guys know" he said pulling his phone out of his pocket and texting I'm guessing the boys. "Ok, it's gunna be awesome! You live next door to him so I'll just come pick you up" he smiled, he was finished his fries and went to go take his tray back. When a girl stopped him on his way back, I watched as how she put her hands around him and was whispering in his ear. I could see calum blushing and he just looked around and locked eyes with me. He brushed her off of him and came walking towards me again, I laughed at how the girl looked when he left her there to come see me. I'm not calums cock block, it's just he knows I feel uncomfortable when other people are around us. "Hey sorry bout that, she's a new girl from our class she was all over luke today then just tried to get me" he laughed "no thank you!" He put his arm around me, the girl saw this and looked pissed. The bell rang for our classes to start again, lucky I had these classes with calum. "Come on we don't want to be late, mr.cott would be turning red again" we both looked at each other and laughed remembering when we both became friends. We walked into class seeing the new girl all over luke, she grinned at me. I had no idea why, but I just ignored her and went to sit beside calum. A woman walked into the classroom instead of our normal teacher, she went to the board writing out her name. Mrs.founder. "A sub, wanna have different names?" Calum asked like a child I remember we use to do this every time we had a sub. I laughed quite enough for calum to hear me, when I felt eyes watching me. I didn't bother to try look just sat there trying to think of a name to use. "Mines going to be Dill Doe" I covered my mouth trying not to laugh "cal that's so bad" I giggled I looked down at my paper looking at the names I picked out .. "which one?" I asked smiling at him, he was taking a sip of water when he looked down at my names and spitting out the water he had in his mouth laughing in the process. Everyone looked back at me and calum, laughing like crazy. Shaking their heads, I guess it's cause we're always being stupid together and that's why we were happy mr.cott wasn't here today. "Hey, whats so funny" I heard someone say from behind me, me and calum turned around and suddenly luke was sitting there. His usual spot was on the other side of the classroom, I turned back around when calum grabbed the paper that had my names on it showing luke. Luke started giggling and looked at us "who made up these names?" He asked still looking at them, calum pointed at me but I didn't know cause I was facing forward... "I say use the third one" he said tapping my shoulder and handing me the paper. I blushed at the thought of him just tapping me, it's the most I got since we were kids.. but that's for another story.
"Uh miss... whats your name?"
I looked up at the woman and smiled to myself.. fuck here it goes.
"It's mikeoochie" I said and everyone in the class started laughing, the teacher didn't look amused. Fuck.
