I was on my phone texting calum, waiting for nova to come out. Message
Bass: hey she's coming out now, don't fuck up! She's my best friend now remember that!
I shook my head and my heart broke a bit from the words she's my best friend now. I looked up from my phone seeing nova walk past me, I ran up to her. "Hey nova you mind if we walk together?" I asked her hopeful. She didn't even look back at me but I heard her voice. "Sure" she kept walking and I ran to catch up with her, I looked at her face it seems like she was crying. Should I ask? I kept walking with her to our houses. It was a quite walk but I liked it, I remember we use to always walk home together. We'd talk about anything and everything, our dreams our plans for the future. That all disappeared that day, I feel stupid for just leaving her hanging. "So how was your day" I asked mentally slapping myself for it, she looked at me and smirked. She didn't say anything she just kept looking at her boots. "It was alright and yours?" She finally said I peeked at her not fully looking at her, I smiled. "It was alright, got in trouble today.. had to go to detention" I smirked knowing she would find this funny. She smirked and kept walking, we were a block away from our houses and I was already getting sad. I can't just expect her to be my friend again, she has calum as her best friend. And calum is the only reason she's actually still walking with me right now. "What's your big dream now?" She asked not looking at me, I smiled at this. "I'm gunna become famous, were gunna form a band" I said looking at her, hoping I'd catch a glimpse of that smile one more time before we went our separate ways. "Oh, so you, calum, Ashton and Michael?" She asked still not looking at me. "Yeah, how did you know?" I asked mentally slapping myself again, she laughed. "Calum, he said you guys are forming a band" I nervously laughed with her. "I should've known he would tell you, you guys are best friends" I said looking down at my boots, we were in front of our houses now. We both stopped and I looked up at her, she didn't look at me she kept her eyes on her house like she just wanted to go inside and leave me.. like I left her. "Uh, well this is my stop" I said trying to be funny, she smirked at this. "Mine too" her voice was so soft, I didn't notice but she had her hand out for me to shake.. "Uh, I'll see you at school?" She asked, I frowned realizing we won't even talk to each other at school. "Yeah, see you around" I awkwardly shook her hand. She turned around fast and walked up to her house not even to look back she went inside.. I put my hands in my pockets and walked up to my steps. I smiled to myself, I looked at her house once more. I opened the door to my mom standing there like she wasn't being nosy. I shook my head "mom, were you watching the whole time" I asked taking my shoes off, "mmm?" She mumbled while sitting on the couch awkwardly, her legs were hanging off the arm rests and her body was sideways on the couch. I laughed and went towards the stairs. "So you and nova are friends again?" She asked making me stop on the stairs, I turned back around going down a couple of steps to see my mom. "No, we just were walking back at the same time" i lied I wanted to be her friend but she won't ever give me another chance not after what I did to her 2 years ago... "well that's too bad, I really miss her spirit around here" she said getting up and walking to the kitchen. I shook my head and continued up the stairs to my room..
Novas POV
I closed the door behind me and slid down it smiling like crazy, ugh why does this happen to me when he's around?!? "Seems like you had a good day, ohh and got walked home by Luke" my sister said looking out the window seeing Luke going to his house. My face started to heat up, I crawled to the window peeking out with my sister seeing Luke going to his door, he was smiling. He looked towards the house, me and my sister fell to the ground. "Did he see us?" She said beside me on the floor, we both got up to peek again he was gone inside. We looked at each other and started laughing, we both got up from the floor. "So are you and Luke friends again?" She asked walking to the couch, I followed her sitting beside her. "I'm not sure what's going on" I answered truthfully "did he atleast give you a reason for what happened two years ago?" She asked turning the tv on, I looked down at my hands thinking back to that day. "No, he never said anything" I felt a lump in my throat so I changed the subject. "How was your day?" I asked looking at her, she must of realized I didn't want to talk about it. "College fucking sucks!" She pointed to a huge binder on the counter in the kitchen, I looked at her confused. "That's for one class" she said flipping through channels, not looking at me. I got up and walked to her binder picking it up, it was super heavy. I just left it there and opened it going through her work. "What the fuck is this?" I asked flipping through the pages, she came to me grabbing her binder. "It's all bullshit, it's for my law classes" she huffed "my brain just explodes when I walk into the classroom too" I could tell she was stressed out, it's only her first year in college. "Dont stress yourself out so much Alex" I said patting her back, she rolled her eyes at me. "Easy for you to say you're still in high school" she said putting her binder back into her bag. I went upstairs to my room, texting calum right away.
Nova: hey you doing anything? Wanna hang out? c:
Calpal: I was just about to text you ;) My mom was asking if you wanted to come over for dinner.
Nova: sure, I'd love to pick me up?
Calpal: be there in 15 mins :D
I threw my phone down when it buzzed again, I left it alone to change my clothes for dinner with calum and his parents. I heard a car horn outside and smiled, grabbing my phone and jacket. I walked down stairs when my sister was at the bottom waiting for me. She had this weird smirk on her face. "What?" I asked her walking down the steps slowly, she shook her head. "Mmm, nothing" she went to the couch and went to doing her own thing. I put my shoes on and walked out the door. I looked down at my phone and I got goose bumps.

I looked up from my phone seeing Calum talking to luke at his car, he noticed me walking towards them. He coughed like almost fake and Luke turned around to see me coming towards them. His face went red and he looked down at his boots. "Hey" I said to them both, awkwardly putting my hands into my jacket pocket. "Hey ready to go?" Calum smiled and opened his car door waiting for me to say yeah. I just nodded my head and opened the door luke came to my side of the car jumping into the back. I didn't say a word to calum or luke, I had no idea what was going on. "I forgot to mention the boys were invited too" Calum nervously laughed while focusing on the road. I didn't say anything, my phone buzzed in my pocket and the goose bumps came again. I looked down trying not to make it seem like I was checking my phone, who knows it might be luke again.

I put my phone back on my lap and decided I wanted to listen to music. "Calum can I use your phone for music" I went to grab his phone when he stopped me. "Just wait" he said closing all his tabs then handing me the phone. I went to his music and plugged it into the auxiliary cord. We got to calums house seeing Ashton and Michael already at calums house on the deck with calums mom. "Well don't be surprised my moms been expecting you" Calum said taking the keys out of the ignition, opening his door and grabbing his phone in the process. "Nova sweetie I knew you were going to come, I made your favourite" she said coming down the deck stairs, she put her arm around me taking me inside with her. We went to the kitchen and she wasn't kidding! My favourite was lasagna, cheese and garlic bread. "Here sweetie have something to drink" she handed me a canned pop, I took it opening it. Maybe I should read what luke said since their not here with me..
