Error's POV-
I couldn't sleep that night of the meeting. Or the one after.
No one could.
Mainly because there was no time.

Here I am, sitting on a tall hill, my soul weak and my body injured. Ink - I think he's still out there somewhere... I'm so worried. I hope he's ok. Dream has run back to the school to alert more people with Blueberry, Nightmare is also out there, Killer's on the hill next to me, Cross is somewhere in there too... Dust, I think is at the entrance of the school... he's scared... Outer's recovering and all the others are scattered around too.

It all started where we left off in the last chapter. Mono had called me to her office, and then continued that everyone else should join me too. Suddenly we were all in her room, crowded around.

"Good evening students." She said. Her voice was strong but cracked at the word good, and recovered for the rest. "I am afraid there has been a word of eavesdropping and secrets..."

I cursed under my breath at Static. "Professor, I-,"

"Silence!" Mono banged a fist on the wooden table, silencing any disruption. "And I think it's time I let you students know what is really happening around here."

"You all know Professor Gould - well, you don't - and that's exactly what's the matter. You students are in grave danger, more than has been ever seen in many centuries! The last time this happened, it was then..."

I remember hearing about some attack hundreds of years ago - dark creatures with no soul or feelings. But I thought they were banned, wiped out...

"Gould is older than you think. He has seen many things, good and bad. And... they have turned his ways a bit wrong. He's planning to-,"

We all waited for a response, but she shook her head, dismissing the thought. "The real problem is there is going to be a major attack on our school very soon."

"What?!" Nightmare spluttered.

"I know it may be a shock to some of you," Mono gave him a frown, she still clearly wasn't over his poor behaviour. "These creatures called the DARK MONSTERS are ruthless, careless, evil beings! They will tear our school down and wipe out everyone in it! We need your help!"

She pressed her fingers to her temples, and Blue offered her a cup of tea. She refused with a grunt and continued: "We don't know when the attack will fall, but it is too soon. Too soon to prepare any defence, too soon to prepare any attack - we just need you. I know you haven't been here for very long, but I hope your skills are up to scratch..."

I couldn't believe it.

An attack on the school.

DARK MONSTERS.

WOULD WE SURVIVE?

...

And so I rolled around in my bed awake for eight hours, thoughts spawning like dust in my brain. That next morning I was so overtired I couldn't sit through class without falling in a five minute sleep. Ink started to become worried about me. "Error, I know you're stressed about the attacks but you've gotta get some sleep! It's not healthy, you know."

I rubbed my eyes and sighed. "*grumble* I know. We just need to prepare, and I don't feel like we've been doing that."

Ink sat for a moment, in a thought bubble. His thinking face was kinda cute, his eye lights in question marks and clouds, his face screwed. "Alright then." Suddenly a knowing smile crept across his paint-splattered face. "We'll prepare."

He jumped off his seat and ran back to the dorm, not waiting for the teacher to dismiss him. "Ink! Where are you going?!" I said, looking down under the teacher's unimpressed gaze.
