Ink's POV-
The sullen days after the attack were mournful, silent and inactive.
In total, five hundred students attempted fight in the battle.

220 of them survived,
And 280 died.

Which group Error was in was unclear.

Here I sat next to his hospital bed, stroking his cold hand and silently monitoring the many injections, strings and machines latched into his body. He had been in some sort of coma for four days now, not showing any sign of consciousness. The school doctors had treated them to the limits, but they were also distracted with the many other injured students around.

Error and Killer were the most hurt by far, the rest only having injuries like sprained limbs, scratches or bruises. Fortunately, Killer had gotten some attention  by the pressure of Nightmare on Matron ('YOU BETTER FIX HIM RIGHT NOW OR YOU YOURSELF WILL NEED SOME FIXING AFTER I DEAL WITH YOU!'), but Kills still wasn't 100% as he got severe headaches from time to time.

But at least he was conscious.... Error... nothing.

Would Error die, would I ever see his beautiful heart again?

Then suddenly, a murmur-

Error's POV-
When dawn for my consciousness rose, I was joyful to see the face staring back at me was the same one when I was in black. The bright, cyan circle and yellow star pupils enlarged to the size of oranges. Ink grew a smile and while I thought he would say hello, what met my lips was totally different.

His latched onto mine and I didn't tear away, just to be clear.

"OOOOOO!" An excited squeal erupted somewhere near.

Through locked lips, I mumbled. "Ink... ish Bwue sturring ut ush?"

"Yup!" The smol bean giggled behind bandaged, tiny hands.

I immediately sat up,  "What happened? Are the monsters gone? Is everyone alive?" The terror flooded into my brain, anxious thoughts and assumptions of the worst snapping into view.

"All of our friends are okay. Although they were all injured. About the monsters, most of them were dead but the remaining thirty or so retreated to a cave about a kilometre away from the Academy."

I flopped back on my back in relief. The monster attack was so vicious, but I was glad the whole school wasn't completely wiped out.

"Ink!" I cried, an idea suddenly popping up in my brain. "Let's go out to Dew Hill! It's perfect for stargazing, and has amazing views."

"Great idea, I love stars." Ink replied dreamily. "Let's go!"

Narrator's POV-
And so the two love-birds waltzed over to Dew Hill, hand in hand, they admired the twinkling spots in the dark navy night sky, which only a few days before, was practically raining with blood.

"I'm so glad it's over," Error rubbed his eyes with his free hands, clutching Ink's with his right.

And for the next hours, they sat together, under the stars, their dreams breaking into truth.

Killer's POV-
I was sitting in the dorm, when suddenly a searing pain bolted my head. "AACCKK!" I clutched the centre, above my left temple, where these headaches always struck me. It was like a dagger, bulldozing through my brain.

"NIGHTY!!!" I wailed, wanting him and a glass of water.

Suddenly he rushed over to me, handling a glass of water in one of his tentacles. "Again, Kills?" He rubbed my forehead like mum did when I was sick.

"Yeah," I sniffed, taking a large sip, almost draining the entire glass.

Nightmare tucked me further into the layers of blankets piled over my body and turned over the cold, damp cloth resting on my forehead. Cross, in the bunk identical to mine but on the other side, said: "Are you sure you don't need to go back to Matron?" He sighed, re-rolling the bandage strapped across his eye where his scar had been wounded.

"Yes, are you sure?" Nightmare asked.

"No- I'm fine. I just need to rest..."

I rolled over and faced the wall. Weird colours appeared in my vision, and I began to feel dizzy as the world span around me. Nighty's face became blurred and Cross' figure, (who was distinctively reading a non-fiction book near), began to fuzz up.

"What's happening?!" I cried, reaching out to grab onto something for my balance, but knocking over the glass instead. It shattered into small, sharp shards.

Suddenly someone walked in. Dream? I think so... He stares at me with a worried expression and suggests to Cross and Nightmare that they should take me back to the hospital. Then Dream reaches into his pocket and pulls out a cellphone, which he calls someone with. Then Ink and Error are there too, squinting at me with a very confused and alarmed expression. "It doesn't look good..." Error shook his head firmly.

"What?!" I mumbled messily.

"BLUEBERRY!" Ink yelled down the hall. "GET THE MATRON!"

Then, in a flash, the Matron had appeared next to me. Her face was a ghostly white and she looked worried... very worried... too worried...

"Oh my goodness." Matron turned to the others. "He has..."

"A severe illness..."

"He's likely to only survive for about..."
