This story is taking place right after Homecoming, civil war still happens but, none of the Avengers know or care(for the moment) about Spider-man's identity and Tony and Steve make up and become friends again, soon boyfriends (because yes I loVe stony). Peter lives with his aunt may in their apartment in queens, before peter was bitten by the radioactive spider he applied for a internship at The Stark tower to help May with their apartment rent, he hadn't gotten a response from his application so assumed that he didn't get accepted and forgot all about it.
I'm just going to say that Tony found Peter while he was patrolling and gave him a new suit (the suit that Tony gave Peter doesn't have Karen, or any of the other upgrades just normal web shooters and when Peter taps the spider logo the suit tightens around Peter), and up until now Tony never really thought about trying to find out who he was until he realizes how great of an asset he would make to the Avengers and also the fact that Nick Fury wants to find out who Spider-man is too (And yes Peter gets an actual internship with Tony Stark).
