Pic of Jay!!!!
We got home quickly, the ride being quiet and awkward after talking about Tom.
We sat in silence in the car ten minutes after we'd arrived at the house. I didn't know what to say, or what to do, or where to take him, so I just sat there silently, he obviously felt awkward as well, therefore resulting in the deafening tension which you could practically cut with a blunt carving knife.
I turned my head slightly, looking out of the corner of my eye at Spec, looking for any form of movement in him which could help me figure out what to do.
I sighed and slumped down into my seat, undoing my seatbelt and pulling out my phone.
"Here,"
I turned to look at Spec, who was holding a crisp envelope out to me."What's this?" I asked, taking it from him and turning it over to open it.
"Don't open it!" He screeched, making me jump, letting go of the envelope.
I glared at him.
"Sorry," he flashed a sheepish smile.
"Um, I had a free period today and figured I'd write a letter thing explaining why I have to stay at your house, because, although it's fun, waiting for you to finish eating before you throw a random whatever it is into my room for me to eat, which doesn't really fill me up. Not to mention if any of your brothers or parents walk into my room and I'm in there I'm pretty sure they'd flip shit." He explained.I giggled.
"Yeah, cool."
I blushed at my stupid response, mentally face-palming myself. I turned away before he could see the heat rise to my cheeks and opened the door.
I unlocked the front door and held it open for Spec to follow in after me."Mom! Dad! I'm home!" I screamed at the house.
I threw my bag down in the corridor and motioned for Spec to do the same.
I walked into the kitchen where both of my parents were sitting with their laptops at the breakfast bar with a Starbucks."How was your day honey?" My Mom asked me, not looking up from what she was working on on the screen.
Butterflies erupted inside of me.
"Uh, good, Mom, Dad I have someone for you to meet." I stuttered.
My Mom turned around.
"Who's this?" She asked, smiling at Spec.
"Uh," I stammered.
"You know she never brings boys home this is a bit of a shock for me." My Mom gushed, giggling.
"Mom!" I hissed.
My Dad turned around at the mention of 'boys', and his expression turned cold and business like.
As you might be able to tell I'm quite a Daddy's girl. Of course I have my bonding times with my Mom and all, being the only other girl in the family but that just gives me all the more reason to be a Daddy's girl; because I'm his special girl. Well, aside from Mom of course.
I never knew my Dad would react like this when I brought a boy home for the first time, seeing as this was the first time I'd brought a boy home. But I'm kind of glad it wasn't a proper boyfriend, otherwise it would've made this situation twenty million times worse, and awkward.
We were all silent, staring at my Dad, waiting for him to say something.
"Mike." My Mom growled, elbowing him in the side.
"Who are you?" He asked brashly.
Spec looked unfazed by the rudeness in my father's voice, and flashed him a charming smile.
