Same day

"Oh, great, you're back. Now we can plan the wedding." My stepmother said.

I ignored her and sat down on the couch next to the same girl and my father. I placed him on my lap where he was sleeping. I hugged him and started crying.

"Hey, what's wrong son? Why are you crying? You never cry." My father said.

"She's gone. She's dead. Lucy's dead. I didn't get to tell her I love her one last time today." I cried as I managed to see her parents, her and my father's eyes widen.

"Good riddance!" My step mother shouted.

"Okay that's it. You do not, threaten my son! I want you out of this house and we'll get divorced at court! If this wasn't for you and your stupid self then Lucy would've spent her last memories with the person she loves the most! But no, she didn't! She had to live with the hate she thought he gave to her! Just because you wanted him to marry her!" My father shouted.

She obeyed his order and soon enough, the door slammed shut. He hugged me as Valentine, Lucy's brother, stirred awake.

"Daddy, when's mummy coming back?" He asked before realising what he said. "Oh."

He then started crying. I wiped my own tears away as I laid his head on my shoulder while rocking him like trying to get a baby to burp. I whispered positive things in his ears. Once he stopped crying, I sat him on my lap. He wiped his tears away before wrapping his arms around my waist and burying his face into my torso. I smiled and started stroking his head.

"I love you daddy." He said which made everyone coo silently.

"I love you too buddy." I said.

The end~
