Author's Note: hey! So this is second chapter people! happy reading!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fact that I was volleyball team's captain and King was soccer team's captain made us face each other even more often then we were supposed to.
And believe me, that was not exciting.
At all.So when I had practice with Jess and other girls, he was there with his teammates.
And all of us were "honored" with that animals hungry stares on our short shorts.
And some of the girls were drooling over their sweaty bodies. Yikes.
I was stretching and talking with Jess, when someone tapped on my shoulder.
When I turned around, I saw Austin Prescott, King's best friend. No, they were more than best friends. Not that way. I mean, they're like brothers from different mothers. Literally. They were known as Double A's, brother A's and list of these two's nicknames goes on and on.But Austin has never talked to me. Sure he was way more friendlier and nicer than his best bud, but we never had chance to get to know each other.
'Hey, Charlotte,' says Austin with a smile. Not with one of those cocky smirks, but with an actual smile.
Wow, I like this guy already.
'Uh, Hi,' I was still confused to why he was talking to me.
'So, um, I wanted to invite you to my party. You know match is on this Friday and I'm hosting a party.'
Even though, Austin Prescott was never involved in soccer or any other sports at our school, he always hosted party after games. And me and Jess never needed an invitation. When we wanted to go to one of his party we went there with out a problem.
'Well, you probably didn't know that we also have a game on Friday' Jess says with her fake sweet smile.
'Oh, you're Jessica right?" he asks and Jess nods, 'Sweetheart, thing is I knew that you guys had a game as well, but since no one hosted a party from your team, I thought I would do it.' Austin says innocently.
Jess looked at Austin angrily and opened her mouth to let out her anger, 'Listen you-"
I knew were this was going.
'Jess, I got this,' I said before she turned into a volcano and pulled her behind me, 'Listen here Prescott, the fact that I don't wanna smack your neck repeatedly unlike I want to with your best bud over there, doesn't give you any right to call my best friend sweetheart. So think before you say something like this next time okay, sweetheart?
'So you wanna smack my neck repeatedly?' someone asks behind us.
Oh Lord.
'I thought you were against violence' King says with a smirk.
'Not when it comes to you King'
'Ooh, you make me feel special, Quinn'
'Seriously guys, when was the last time you called each other your first names?' says Jessica as I glare at her.
'A long, long time ago...' says Austin.
'There was a volcano...' murmurs Jess.
Oh no.
'Hey!' says Austin with excitement in his voice 'You know this too?'
Oh god, he heard.
'Wait!' says Jess with wide eyes, 'You know this?'
