We were currently playing Uno together in the living room of the small cabin. Cole was out to destroy me. I am the reigning Uno champion. I honestly barely know what I'm doing, but I am amazing, got to say.
"Uno." I called out for like the tenth time.
"Are you kidding me." Groaned Cole. I stuck my tongue out at him while everyone else started groaning as I put my last card down.
"Last time I am ever playing this with you." Myra said frustrated. She always hated losing.
"Guys I have to go somewhere to meet up with a friend, I'll be down the street for like 5 minutes." I told them.
"No." Cole said glaring at me. "I am not letting you go to see him." He snapped.
"I need to clear whatever is going on with the two of you and since I seem to be at the center of the problem I am going to fix it." I said putting my coat on and tying my boots. I opened the door only to be stopped by it slamming shut. I looked up to see Cole's arm over my head keeping it closed.
"Cole please I can even text you every minute if It will make you feel better." I said pushing his arm away and opening the door before quickly slipping out. I heard snow crunching behind me. I quickly turned to see Cole following me. "Cole. You don't have to follow me." I said back.
"If you're going to see this complete psycho then so will I." He said wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"We are meeting him at the corner." I said pointing towards the end of the street. Once we got there we waited about two minutes before his car turned the corner parking next to the curb.
"Skye." Seth greeted walking towards us.
"Is it true?" I said cutting to the chase.
"Is what true?" He asked looking me in the eye.
"That you think its ok to say half of the things you said about me to him." I snapped.
"What do you mean I never said anything to him." He said. I noticed he was picking at the sides of his case. Signs he is lying.
"You are lying." I snapped. "I thought we were friends, friends don't practically harass people and pretend they have a relationship with someone that they definitely don't and wont ever have." I said feeling my anger grow.
"Why are you with him? Can you give me one valid reason? He is no different than me." He snapped taking a step towards me. I cautiously took a step back bumping into Cole's chest.
"Because I love him, and he doesn't act anything like you." I snapped. He looked taken aback for a second but quickly hid it.
"When are you planning on telling her? Huh?" He snapped rubbing his hands on his face.
"That was in the past Seth and I would rather it stay that way." Growled Cole. I felt Cole grip my wrist and start pulling me behind him.
"We are done with this." He dragged me away from Seth. "This was a bad idea, I knew we shouldn't have gone." He spat.
"What aren't you telling me?" I questioned. "What happened that you don't want to tell me?" I questioned stopping on the sidewalk. He ran his fingers through his hair.
"Remember when I told you that I didn't exactly have the best past." He said. I vaguely remember him saying something about it. I just nodded my head and looked up into his eyes.
"Seth and I were neighbors growing up. He was into somethings that I wasn't fond of, he would be with a new girl every week, take pills like his life depended on it and drank alcohol as easy as someone would drink water." He said through gritted teeth. "He tried to...to get me to do some of those things as well but unlike him I was able to say no." He said. "Now how about we go inside, we told the others we would only be gone about ten minutes." He said pulling me along side him and back towards the cabin.
