Chapter 21 - Stranded

Irene's P.O.V.

"Bye Lay! Thanks for driving me!" I said.

"It's no problem really! I'll just see you at work tomorrow!" Lay said as I nodded.

"Sure!" I responded.

Lay left with a smile on his face and I proceeded to head inside my house. As I entered, I see my friends with creepy smiles plastered on their faces.

"What are you guys looking at?" I asked.

"Wow...It must be a big advantage to have a beautiful face because it's unnie's first day at work and there's a hunk already driving her home." Yeri teased.

"Yah! He's just my friend. Besides, he's not my type and I'm not his type." I quickly answered.

"Awww...that's sad. So how was work unnie?" Wendy asked.

"Work..was actually..fine I guess.." I replied as they raised an eyebrow at me.

"U-Uhm..anyways, where are the others?" I asked.

"They already left unnie." Seulgi responded.

"Oh...Okay." I nodded and sat on the couch beside them.

"So??" Joy wiggled her eyebrows and said.

"What?" I asked.

"Did you perhaps saw him at work?" Yeri asked as my cheeks were heating up.

"YOU DID SAW HIM!" Wendy shouted.

"Yah! Don't be so loud." I closed her mouth until she calms down.

"So what happened?" Seulgi asked with wondering eyes.

"N-Nothing actually..he was just there..staring as I just stare back. We didn't make some long conversations, just talking about work." I said as they crossed their arms.

"Well that was boring." Wendy said.

"Though..he actually pointed out that I should not wear these kinds of clothes at work. He said it'll distract male workers in the building." I said as they smirked.

"Well someone's protective." Yeri said as I rolled my eyes at her.

"I mean he has a point, unnie. Showing your shoulders is really inappropriate to work." Wendy said as Seulgi chuckled.

"You mean is that it can distract Jin oppa from work since unnie is that pretty!" Seulgi said as everyone chuckled.

"Yah! Stop it already. We should all go to bed now. We have work tomorrow." I said and left them there.
