A hero of Tamriel, be it in any age/any game, taking one look at the crazy drama going down and saying "Nope".
They are so very much done with people asking for help, kidnapping them to join their group, monsters randomly attacking them for no apparent reason. They would rather not deal with the stuff going on right now. They'd much rather go home, have a nice relaxing day, and ignore the world.
Daedra come calling? Sorry the hero is out for the day try again later.
Emperor wants the hero to find someone? Don't you have a bunch of soldiers to do that?
Dragon's coming around burning villages? You got fighters for that.
Civil war going down? Fight yourselves, leave them out of it.
How would the other characters react to such a supposed hero? How would this change the events within the story? Would their refusal to follow what they're told they must do be what saves the world to begin with?
