Hope to sacrifice herself to protect Landon (and everyone else). She jumped into the Malivore pit, which saved the day, but her heroism came with a price -- it left everyone forgetting she ever existed.
Alot of things changed during the summer break.
Maining because they are missing something very important. After the Triad incident, Hope Mickaelson jumped into Malivore, and everyone forgot about her, things changed. It was bound too. Somehow even against Josic's wishes, Alaric was no longer the headmaster of the Salvatore School of Young and gifted. Although he is around he can't take any part in any school activity. They are searching for a new headmaster though. Lizzie has headed to Europe for the Summer break, to spend some time with her mother, she feels empty inside, which according to her is because of Josie distancing herself.
In Josie's mind, she can't rest unless she knows her and her sister can survive the merge. She is going all the research she can go, including getting all the possible answers from his father. But somehow that's not enough. She wants somebody to rely on, to be her hero but who.
Meanwhile, Hope will be trying to find her way back to the Salvatore School, to the real world, out of Malivour.to her friends.
