I sigh as I turn of my alarm. It is literally 6 AM. I roll on my back and stare at the ceiling. A new morning, another day where people make fun of me because I'm a janitor. I sighed again, and kick away my blanket as I make my way to my closet. I take out my ugly uniform and put it on. I am about to go to the bathroom when my phone rings. My bestfriend Jackson calls. "Rise and shine, Laura!" he yelled thru the phone. I winced. "Jackson, please, it's 6 in the morning. Calm down." "Do you have to work today?" he asks, still speaking at the same volume. "Yes. Why?" I brush my hair and look at myself in the mirror. I have bags under my eyes. I guess I have to put make-up on. Jackson speaks again. "I'm throwing a party tonight. It's gonna be awesome. Are you coming?" I put on concealer. "Uhm, of course, your parties are always lit. Might pass out for fun." Jackson laughs. "Aight, I'll pick you up after work then." "Sounds good. See you tonight." I reply. "Cool. Good luck at work." Jackson hangs up. I sigh again. I think half of my life consists of sighing. The thought that I have a party tonight, is what's gonna keep me going today. I glance at the clock. 06:25. I have to leave at 7, so I rush down to eat breakfast. I grab a plate out of the kitchen cabinet and prepare my breakfast.
7 AM, time to leave. I put on my shoes and jacket and go outside. It's cold and I can see my breath crystallize in the air. I put in my earbuds and click on "suffle" on my playlist. I walk to the bus stop and sit down on the bench. The bus arrives in 10 minutes. Work starts at 7:30, so I'll be on time. I can't afford being late. I could get fired for the smallest mistake. And I don't even have an important job. I look at the people that pass by. I see a cute couple holding hands. An elderly woman with groceries. I like watching people. I like to think about what their story could be. I hear the familiar motor of the bus getting closer. I stand up and get my ticket out of my pocket. I can already see that the bus is crowded. The bus stops and the door opens. The warmth welcomes me. I say hi to the bus driver and look around for a place to sit. Every seat is already taken. I grab a pole for grip. I guess I have to stand for the whole drive to SM.
I get out the bus. For the thousandth time today I sigh. Time to clean up some trashcans. I enter the building and nod to the receptionist. She nods back. I walk to the janitors closet to hang up my jackets and get the stuff I need to start cleaning. I leave the closet again and walk to the cafeteria. Breakfast time is over and it's always a mess afterwards. I pick up the first trashcan, when someone bumps into me. The trash spills all over the ground. Someone sighs in annoyance. I turn around to apologize, when I see the man who bumped into me. Oh Sehun. My boss. I bow. "I'm so sorry, sir. I didnt see you there." I damn well know I wasnt at fault here, but saying that would cost me my job. My boss rolls his eyes. "It seems like you missed something while cleaning." He points at the trash all over the floor and grins his stupidly attractive smile. I bow again. "I will take care of it right now." He walks away toward the cash register, but on his way he kicks another trashcan over. He turns around. "You missed something here too." I smile and nod. I turn around and clench my fists. I probably look like that meme, but I'm getting real mad here. Sehun always does that shit. I need that janitor money bad, so I dont quit my job. But I'm really getting fed up with being made fun of everyday. I take a deep breath. "Luckily I have a party tonight." I mumble to myself.
