Maka's POV

I've heard there's a new boy at school. That's all the girls have ever been talking about. Oh well. I walked to Stein's classroom and took a seat.

"Welcome class, we have a new student joining us here. Introduce yourself, Mr. Evans." Dr.Stein announced.

"Hello. My name is Soul, and I'll be joining your class,"he introduced himself with no interest at all. He had snowy white hair as well as maroon coloured eyes.

Dr.Stein directed him to his seat and began his lesson. I couldn't really make out the words that were coming out of Stein's mouth because my attention wasn't focused on him;it was focused on the new guy, Soul.

The bell rang and I headed towards my locker to house my books in it. I couldn't help but to notice the white-haired guy to the left of me struggling with his locker. I walked up to him."Hi, I'm Maka,"I politely introduced myself.

He looked up, "Hey," he replied. He continued to fiddle with his lock.

I couldn't help but giggle at the fact that he couldn't get his locker open. I smiled and asked, "Do you need help with that??" He looked up again and nodded. "Okay first, turn the lock three times to the right and to the first number." I directed. I continued to direct him until he finally could open his locker.

"Thanks,"he mumbled.

"No problem," I proudly said. "Hey, uh..."

"Soul Evans," he answered.

"Thanks, so Soul, do you want to be partners?" I asked with hope.

"I'm sorry Annie asked me first," he avoided my eyes.

My confidence shrunk,"Oh okay..well I'll see you around, Soul," I grabbed my books and headed to the next class.

I frantically sat up, sweat evident on my face as my chest rose and sank heavily. Soul stirred and sat up too. "Bad dream Maka?" he groggily asked.

"..yeah it's okay; I'm fine now," I replied and snuggled back into Soul's chest, drifting off to sleep.

It was all a dream~a bad dream.

A/N oh lorddie it's been awhile.. sorry about the difference in writing at the beginning of the story and the end as this was an un completed story that i started many months before ♡ sorry if i broke your trust issues
