3RD PERSON POVV (Edited & revised/revising because omg cringy as fuck)
Sitting in the lunchroom, Soul's friends surrounded him. He continued to stare blankly as he daydreamed through the conversations taking place.
It wasn't until Kevin, Soul's friend, waved his hand in front of his face did Soul snap out of the trance he was in. "Hey, Soul? You alright?"
"Hm?—Oh, yeah. What's up, Kev?"
Kevin chuckled a little bit before returning to his happy-go-lucky face, "We were just talking about our partners. You're so lucky!" Kevin whined. "You have Maka for a meister; I bet it's a treat to be around her."
Soul's careless expression shifted to a disgusted one as he glared at his friend. "Kevin, no; stop."
Kevin then continued,"I mean you guys aren't dating, are you? 'Cause if not, I want her for myself."
Soul only continued to glare before letting his heart speak before his mind, "We may not be dating, but one thing for sure is that she's mine and mine only."
It was only by then that Maka made her way pass his table heading to the library. Stopping, she froze where she stood, a questioning look plastered on her face, "Soul...," her voice surprisingly spoke.
Turning around, realization hit Soul causing him to blush in embarrassment, "Maka, please tell me you didn't just hear that."
"Were you talking about Tsubaki? I thought she was dating Black-Star," Maka said cluelessly.
Soul's friends started snickering as they watched Soul, flustered as ever, struggle to find his words. His know bad boy reputation with his friends crumbled as he talked with his meister. "N-No...I-I just...screw it."
He figured it'd be useless to try and make up an excuse. Standing up, Soul grabbed Maka's hand and lead her outside the lunchroom away from the cheers from his friends. "Maka, I wasn't talking about Tsubaki; I was talking about you, and I have no intention of taking back what I said—even if you don't return my feelings."
Maka's widened as her heart skipped a beat. She became hesitant of her words and actions, but manages to gather up the last of her courage to say what her heart ached to say. With her cheeks heating up, she lightly hit Soul's arm, "I'm really glad you said that; you have no idea how long I've waited to hear those words."
"And you have no idea about how long I've been trying to find the courage to tell you." Locking eyes, Soul brushed Maka's fringe to the side as he leaned closer. Feeling his warm breath on her skin, Maka shivered at the twinkling feeling, "Well, now that we have all of this out of the way," he started, continuing to inch closer until their foreheads barely touched, "Will you, Maka—the one and only, do the honor of officially being my girl?"
"I'd like nothing more."
And with that, Soul and Maka walked hand-in-hand to the library.
