Y/n's POV:

I ended up falling asleep straight away. I was just so tired and since Ariana and I worked things out, and Sam was headed into surgery, I had no reason to stay awake.

At first I was angry with Laura for telling Ariana about Sam. However, considering how everything turned out, I'm actually really grateful that she did what she did. If she hadn't, then Ariana and I would still be apart and Sam would be nearing his end.

I've always blamed myself for all of the pain that's happened around me. I was convinced that my happiness was the cause of others sorrows.

I let darkness cloud my mind, and overtime that made it harder and harder for me to see the light.

However, that all changed when I met Ariana. She became my light, and slowly I found myself climbing out of the dark.

Looking back on it, when I chose to break things off with her, I didn't think it would affect me so much. But it did.

Speaking of Ariana, where is she?

I look all around the room, but can't see her anywhere. My heart starts racing at the possibility that she left me. I feel myself beginning to have a panic attack, so I try and text her.

Y/n: Where are you? I just woke up and noticed you're not next to me or in the room.

I really hope she responds soon. She promised that she'd be here when I got up.

Ariana's POV:

I felt bad leaving Y/n's side, but I'm getting really hungry. I haven't had anything to eat since I left the house.

Ding!

I hear my phone go off as I'm purchasing my food from the cafeteria. I pull it out and guilt instantly starts filling my stomach as I read Y/n's message.

Ariana: Just went to get some food, on my way back now! ❤️

Y/n: Okay. Miss you 😘🥺

I love her so much, she's so cute.

A few minutes later and I finally make it back to the room.

"I'm back"

I hear someone jump out of bed and come running my way. Seconds later, Y/n appears from behind the curtain separating the room, and at first I could tell she was thrilled to see me, but it quickly changed.

"What happened to being here when I woke up?" She says, crossing her arms and giving me a half serious look.

"I'm sorry baby, I just got really hungry and couldn't wait any longer." I set down the food I bought and walk over to Y/n.

"You could have woke me. I was worried that you left."

"Y/n I told you multiple times that I wouldn't leave." I pull her body into mine and she nuzzles her head into my neck.

"I know" she says barely above a whisper.

"Then why do you keep thinking I'm going to leave you?"

"Because...I left you back in Jamaica."

"Y/n stop. You're being ridiculous" I pull her away from me, enough where I can see her face.

"It's just..I don't hold many people close to my heart, and since your one of them, it scares me."

"I know baby, I know. But I promise, I'm not leaving you. I don't ever wanna let you go like I did before. You mean the world to me, okay?" I kiss her forehead, then her cheek, and then finally her lips.

"I love you" I tell her.

"I love you too. Now kiss me again, I've missed your lips" she says, while cutely pouting.

"Gladly" I wrap my arms around her back, pushing our bodies together, and I slowly kiss from her collar bone to her lips. Making sure to leave a few marks here and there as I go.

"G-God damn it Ari" Y/n softly moans.

"What?"

But before I can even hear what she has to say, her mother walks in, following two nurses and Sam on a bed.

"He's done?" I thought they would have been in there for at least a few more hours.

"Yup and the surgery was a success!"

"So, Sams gonna be able to live a long, happy, and normal life again?" Y/n asks.

Her mother nods and so do the nurses. I feel Y/n take my left hand in hers and intertwine our fingers. I smile and bring her hand up and kiss the back of it softly, making her smile from ear to ear.

"It'll take him a few weeks to recover to where he can move around, and then a couple more until his body becomes completely healed and adjusted to the switch. He's not allowed to do any physical activity other than using the bathroom, and walking from room to room. This type of surgery is very tiring on the body, so he will probably sleep most of the time for the first week or so. Just make sure he gets his daily medications and he should be good. Finally, although he's stable and the surgery went well. He cannot leave the hospital for at least another 48 hours. But after that he is free to go." Says one of the nurses.

"Thank you so much" Y/n's mom says.

The nurses nod and quickly finish with Sam and leave.

"Ariana I want to thank you again for paying for the surgery. I know spending that much money isn't a big deal to you, but I will forever be grateful for what you've done for our family." Y/n's mom says.

"Your very welcome Kelly, and as I've said before, I'm willing to help you out in anyway I can. I don't like seeing Y/n or you upset, so if you need anything else please let me know."

"Baby you've done plenty" Y/n says, and kisses my cheek, making me blush.

"She's right Ariana, I couldn't ask you for anything else."

"Well, if you ever change your mind, my offer still stands."

"Thank you." She says.
