Busan certainly hadn't changed much in the five years he'd been away, Yoongi mused as he sit in the bus. certainly, the strip mall on the main thoroughfare was new, or at least new to him, as the shops had looked well established when the bus passed by them.

And the fact that the billboard hovering over the double doors of the main street theatre advertised Korean hottest movie let him know the cinema was still doing a booming business.

Yoongi had spent many a Saturday afternoon in the cool, dark recesses of that movie house while his mother was busy at their flower shop. and then as a teen, his theatre visit changed on Saturday nights. when he'd sneaked out on dates with Jeon Jungkook.

The name, a whisper across his mind, sent shivers dancing down his spine. Lord, how he'd loved the alpha. Tenderness. Commitment. Affection. Passion. The closeness they shared rivalled Shakespearean couples, a childishly romantic notion considering their young age.

But love wasn't all Yoongi learned from Jungkook. Pain and guilt were etched just as deeply. The three beautiful years were forever marred by the one hostile, accusation-filled fight between Mrs. Jeon and Mrs. Min. A fight Jungkook might never know about, the fight that ultimately convinced him to leave Busan with his mother. The hateful words Mrs. Jeon wielded like weapons had been a devastating turning point.

He wouldn't have left, not without a proper goodbye from Jungkook, especially not with the crushing weight of their newborn son's death. But the hurt had been too raw then.

The bus lurched to a stop, jolting Yoongi from his reverie. He walked out of the bus on autopilot, his gaze landing on the familiar red brick building – his childhood home and the flower shop. A surge of fear, sudden and unwelcome, clawed at his throat.

Why was the shop still there? Abandoned for five years, it looked surprisingly well-maintained. Was it possible someone else had taken over?

Yoongi hesitated, about to approach the shop they'd left behind five years ago, when a voice broke the silence.
