It was Tuesday morning and Michael was on his way to the train station. He couldn't wait to meet Valarie later. He and Valarie has been talking to each other on the telephone everyday. They never ran out of things to talk about. Eventually, Michael arrived at the station and caught the train to London.

Meanwhile in London Valarie was running around the house making sure everything was perfect for Michael. She had been cleaning everywhere all week. Alfie has been surprised as Valarie never cleaned this much. Valarie was so focused on cleaning that she never realised the time. It was nearly half past eleven!. It would take about twenty minutes for her to get to the station. She wanted to be there early incase the train arrived early. In a hurry Valarie threw on her coat and ran to the bakery to grab Ollie so he could take her to the station. By the time Valarie got to the bakery Ollie was just walking out and making his way towards the car. Valarie saw him and and made her way to him. They greeted each other and set off to get Michael from the station.

With five minutes to spare Ollie and Valarie arrived at the train station. Ollie stopped outside the entrance of the station so Valarie could run in. Valarie got out the car and told Ollie she would meet him across the street with Michael. Ollie nodded and Valarie made her way to meet Michael.

Valarie was wondered through the station doors and made her way towards someone to ask for the platform number. Instantly she spotted someone who worked there and her way towards them.
"Excuse me. Can you tell me what platform the train from Birmingham is coming in on please?" Asked Valarie
"3" replied the worker without even looking at Valarie. However, she just brushed this off.
"Thank you" said Valarie and she made her way towards the platform.

Just as she stepped foot on the platform the train arrived. Excitement now filled Valarie's veins. The train station then began to get crowded. Valarie was struggling to see Michael. She began the panic. Valarie began to frantically push her way through the crowd to try to find Michael. Just as Valarie was beginning to lose hope, she saw a handsome man step off the train. It was Michael!. As Michael was departing the train he was looking for Valarie. Then he suddenly saw her. As their eyes met Valarie ran towards Michael. Valarie jumped in Michael's arms. He held her for as long as he could. They didn't want to let each other go. Eventually, they let go of each other.
"I can't believe you're actually here" exclaimed Valarie
"I would never let you down Val"
Valarie couldn't help but smile at that statement and just hugged Michael again.
"Shall we get going?" Asked Valarie
"We shall" agreed Michael.

With their arms linked Valarie and Michael made their way out the station. When they exited the station they spotted Ollie across the street patiently waiting. They then jumped in the car and greeted Ollie. Ollie just nodded and started the car.

While they were on their way to Valarie's house Ollie kept staring at Michael through the rear view mirror. Michael saw this but wasn't phased. The three of them sat in silence for the whole journey while Michael and Valarie held hands.

Eventually, they arrived at Valarie's house. Ollie parked outside while Michael and Valarie got out. As Ollie went back to the bakery Michael and Valarie entered the Solomons residence.

Michael couldn't believe how normal the house was. He thought that a gangster like Alfie Solomons would live in a grand mansion. However, this was a normal London townhouse. Not that Michael minded. In fact he loved how normal everything was.
"Shall we put your bag in your room" suggested Valarie. Michael nodded as Valarie showed him his room.

Later that day Michael and Valarie were sat in the kitchen having a cup of tea when Alfie entered.
"Hello Darling" Alfie went over and hugged his daughter.
"Who's this then?" Alfie addressed Michael. Alfie knew it was Michael but he wanted Valarie to introduce them.
"Dad this is Michael. Michael this is my dad, Alfie Solomons" Valarie introduced the two men.

Michael and Alfie shook hands but there was still an awkward tension in the air. The three of them stood in silence until Valarie spoke up.
"So, what shall I make for dinner?".
"Don't be daft Darling. I'll be more than happy to take my daughter and my future son in law out for dinner" said Alfie. At Alfie's comment Valarie and Michael blushed.
"I'll take that as a yes then. Grab your coats" said Alfie as he was leaving the room.

As Michael was putting on his coat he noticed that Valarie was struggling to put on hers. So, he went over and helped her put it on. At the gesture Valarie couldn't help but blush and she tried to hide her face. Michael found this cute and turned Valarie to face him. Valarie was still trying to hide her face. They both locked eyes with each other and smiled. As they were lost in each other's Michael moved a piece of hair out of Valarie's face. After what felt like hours they both began to lean in. When suddenly Alfie wondered through the door. Michael and Valarie jumped apart both flustered. Alfie knew what was about to happen and just stared at Michael. Alfie put on his coat and the three of them made their way to the restaurant.

The car ride there was silent. The three of them didn't know what to talk about. Luckily, the restaurant was only a short distance away so, in no time at all they arrived.

All throughout the meal Alfie was trying to intimidate Michael and embarrass Valarie.
"So, Mickey what are your intentions with my daughter?" Interrogated Alfie. Michael nearly spat out the water he was drinking at Alfie's question.
"Dad" Valarie said clearly embarrassed.
"Well..." Alfie wasn't going to let his question go.
"I really like Valarie and I wouldn't hurt her for the world" explained Michael.
"Good answer" replied Alfie.
Michael and Valarie smiled at each other. The three of them then finished their dinner and headed back to Alfie's.

"Well I'm gonna head to bed" said Alfie as he walked through the door "no funny business alright"
Alfie then climbed the stairs to bed leaving Michael and Valarie alone.
"Then there were two" joked Valarie.
Michael thought that Valarie's joke was cute and couldn't help but smile.
"Do you want a cup of tea?" Asked Valarie
"Yes please" answered Michael.

Michael and Valarie entered the kitchen. As Valarie made a pot of read Michael sat down at the table. They the talked until the early hours of the morning.
"Val, can I admit something?" Asked Michael as he was facing Valarie.
"You know you can" reassured Valarie. Michael then took Valarie's hand and held it as he looked in her eyes.
"I don't know how you feel about me but I really like you. You're smart, funny and beautiful" confessed Michael. Valarie blushed and smiled.
"I'm glad you feel the same way" said Valarie.
"You're not just saying it" asked Michael.

Confidence filled Valarie's veins as she pressed her lips on Michaels. The kiss was cut short when Valarie pulled away.
"I'm so sorry I shouldn't have done that" apologised Valarie.
Michael smiled and pressed his lips on Valarie's. The kiss quickly became heated.
"Shall we take this to my room?" Suggested Valarie as Michael was placing kisses on her neck.
"Are you sure?" Asked Michael as he didn't want to pressure her into anything.
"Yes" replied Valarie as she dragged Michael towards her bedroom.

The moment they entered Valarie's bedroom Valarie locked the door and reattached their lips. Clothes were then removed and scattered across the room.
"Are you sure?" Asked Michael one last time.
"Yes" reassured Valarie.
That's all Michael needed to hear as he and Valarie confirmed their love.
