Hey guys. It's been a while. I'm sorry. First quarter of school just ended and I got two F's so guess who's gonna get kicked off of the cheer squad and have to do tutoring🥺

Alex POV
I got in my car and I just drove. Father and father. My destination? I'm not sure. I just had to get away. I couldn't take it. I'm in love with Carlos. But he doesn't feel the same

Carlos POV
I went home but I didn't have my key. I forgot mom left and took the key. So I have to stay with Alex. I feel bad yeah, but I, I don't know.

I go to Alex's house and unlock it, I do have a key for his house. Alex's car isn't in the driveway, so I'm guessing it's in the garage. I go in and I expect to see Alex on the couch but he isn't there.

He's probably upstairs in his room

I go up there and knock three times on the door.

No one answers

C-Alex?

C-Alex, open up

*silence*

I open the door and Alex isn't there. I search the entire house but no Alex.

I call him multiple times but he doesn't answer.

I grab my keys off of the counter and rush to my car. I start driving around trying to find him.

Alex POV
I drive and start crying. I keep getting calls from Carlos but I ignore them and keep driving.

I came across a gas station.

I guess I'll get some food.

I go in and get some takis, water, candy, some beer with my fake ID, etc.

(I've never had takis, should I try them?)

I pay then exit the store and get in my car. I start driving again.

*a few hours later*

I drive to an area with no one around. Just nature. I pull over and park.

A-*sighs*

I reach over in the passenger seat and grab my food. I open my car door then close it after I exit. I get on the hood of my car and sit down.

I drink my beer as I watch the sun go down.

A-so this is my life now

I sigh as a take another drink.

I drink more and more. I drink till the pain is numb. And I feel it no longer. The sun sets and I get back in my car. I lock the doors and put my seat back. I slowly fall asleep. With nothing on my mind.

Carlos POV
I've been searching for hours. I called him multiple times. Where could he be? I went into the gas station to see if they've seen him and if he left town.

C-hi, has a guy been in here earlier? His name is Alex. He has dark hair, tan skin, he loves takis?

Cashier- oh yeah. He came in here. He bought some beer and snacks, then drove off that way

He pointed to the road that leaves town.

C-okay, thank you.

I get back in my car and go the way the cashier told me where Alex went.

After what felt like hours of driving I found a car in the distance.

I got closer to it and saw it was Alex's car.

I pulled over quickly and hopped out of my car.

I ran and saw Alex asleep in his car.

Beer bottles were all over the car. Inside, on top, and around it.

I locked on the window 3 times. He didn't respond.

I banged hard on the windows.

Alex Jumped and screamed something out

Alex POV

I remember falling asleep

I had a dream about Carlos. He was right I front of me. Holding me close. But then, he started to disappear. I couldn't stop it.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A-Carlos!!!!

I opened my eyes and was in my car. I look over and see Carlos banging on the window.

A-huh?

I unlock my doors and Carlos gets in on the other side

A-what are you doing?
C-I could ask you the same question! What are you doing!? Why would you do this!? Do you know how worried I was?!
A-uh I-

Carlos hugs me tight

A-I thought you didn't care. You ignored me all day.

C-I'm sorry

Carlos starts crying

C-Alex, I'm so so sorry. Please forgive me. I love you

A-what?

C-I-I said, I love you

Those three words. They're just words, but they make me feel so, so alive

Without thinking I grab Carlos's face and kiss him
