Percy's POV
I walked into Greek for first period. Since no one was there yet I sat down at the desk at the back of the class by the window to wait.
As I waited. I watched the other students file in.
Great! The mind reader and Bella are here. I thought as they sat two rows in front of me.
"Hi! Do you mind if we sit here?"
I looked up to see a short pixie like girl. I shrugged. " I don't care."
"Great! Thanks! I'm Alice. This is my adopted brother Jasper!"
"Percy Jackson" I replied.
"Nice to meet you Percy." Alice said.
I just nodded and watched as a blonde girl with blue eyes walked in. As she made her way to the back I saw someone stick their foot out and trip her. I was out of my seat and in front of her in a flash.
"Are you alright?" I asked, as I helped her gather her things.
"Ja" she said.
I gave her a small smile. "I'm Percy Jackson." I said as I helped her up. She looked at me surprised.
" You speak German?" She asked.
"Ja." I responded.
She smiled at me then. " Liesel Meminger" she said in German.
I walked her to her seat.
"It was nice to meet you Liesel." I said.
I walked back to my seat and sat down just as the teacher walked in.
"Okay, class. I'm sure you're all wondering why we're studying Greek. I will explain in a minute." The teacher said. A hand shot up.
The teacher nodded.
"Mrs. Robertson isn't Greek a dead language?" The Asian kid asked.
"No. It is not. Now we have a new student. Mr. Jackson why don't you come introduce yourself?" Mrs. Robertson said.
I sighed and walked to the front.
"My name is Percy Jackson. I don't feel like talking so if you have a question just raise your hand." I told them.
Every hand went up except for Edward's.
I pointed to an Asian girl with glasses.
"Where are you from?"
"New York City." I replied.
I pointed at Jasper. "How many tattoos do you have?"
"Fourteen and they each represent something." I said rolling up my sleave revealing the lightening bolt on my left arm.
I pointed at Bella wondering what she would ask.
"What school did you go to before you moved here?"
"That depends I've gone to six schools since middle school."
"Why so many?"she asked.
I'm ADHD and dyslexic and the teachers didn't know how to handle me. I also got kicked out of some of them." I said.
"Why?"someone asked.
"I shot a cannon at a school bus on a field trip. Blew a hole through school gym and set a music room on fire." I said.
They gasped and with that I went back to my seat.
"Can anyone tell me what this sentence say and it's meaning?" Mrs. Robertson asked.
Only two people put there hand up. Liesel and I.
"Mr. Jackson" she called.
"Please just call my Percy. The world is cruel and nothing last forever. So when you find love grap it and hold on tight." I replied.
"Very good. Now can you tell what you think it means?" She asked.
"Life is hard bad things happen. But with love in your life you are able to see the good in it. But for me it means nothing at all." I replied.
"Would tell the class why you think it means nothing to you?"
she asked.
"I'm sorry. I can't." I answered.Alice's POV
I was shocked. Precy can read Greek. I listened as the teacher said that we would be doing a pop quiz.
"When you are through please turn your test in and return to your seat." Mrs. Robertson said. "You may begin."
I flipped the page over.
The questions were about the Greek gods. As I turned in the page I noticed that Percy had already turned his in. He was twirling a black and gold pen in his hand.
"So Percy. Why did you decide to move to Forks?" I asked.
"My mom and stepdad were murdered." He said as he stared out the window.
"Oh! I'm sorry!" I replied.
"Don't pity the dead pity the living. Above all those who live without love." He said.
Wow! That was deep! I thought.
Just then door opened. "Mrs. Robertson. Can I borrow Perseus Jackson please? " the principal asked.
"Of course!" She replied.
Precy got up and walked up to the front.
A sergeant walked in as he got there.
"Sergeant Carter" he said shaking her hand. "What can I do for you?"
"I just came to give you your mother's will. But also to pick you up." she answered.
"What?!" Percy all but yelled.
"Your mother said in her will that you are to go live with your uncle." Sergeant Carter said.
"What?" Percy laughed. "You're joking right? I can't live with my father's brother. Actually I can't live with either of his brothers."
Percy's POV
I couldn't help it I laughed with no humor.
"No, Perseus. I'm not. Your to live with your mother's brother." She said.
"My mom doesn't have a brother." I replied.
"Look I'll give you two days to pack your things back up. Then we will catch our flight the day after." Carter said.
"No!" I said.
"Excuse me?" She asked.
"I'm not leaving." I said.
" No one gets to tell me where I can and can't live. Not any more. If you or this uncle that I have never met have a problem with it. Call my father. Here's his number." I gave her a paper with his number.
"Now if you don't mind I'm going back to class." I said
I turned and walked back into my class.
