LOVE. I never thought that this word will come into my mind whenever I am with Helena. I am not an expert when it comes to this, but all I want right now is to be with her all the time. I have a reason to wake up in the morning. I have a reason to live everyday.

Isang katok sa pinto ang nagpabalik sa akin sa realidad. Akala ko ay si Helena ang pumasok sa opisina ko, pero si Leon ang tumambad sa akin.

I was about to greet him, but his face looks worried. Kilala ko si Leon, masayahin na tao. He locked the door and this made me frown. Kung ano man ang problema niya ngayon, this indeed serious.

"Boss, we need to talk," sabi ni Leon kuha ng upuan sa tapat ng table ko.

"May problema ba? Para kang nakabuntis ng babae ng wala sa oras ah?"

"Boss, it is not about me, it is about you. Paranoid lang siguro ko, pero pakiramdam ko talaga ay may mali," mahina na sabi ni Leon na pinagpapawisan ng butil butil.

"Leon, I don't like your tone. What's this all about?"

"Ang ex-girlfriend mo na si Gretchen, she committed a suicide, walang nakikitang foul play ang pulis. Si Jasmin naman, nabaril ng riding in tandem habang nagda-drive ng sasakyan. Mistaken identity daw pero I have a bad feeling about this," sabi ni Leon sabay bigay sa akin ng detalyado na report ng pagkamatay ni Gretchen at Jasmin.

Nagulat ako sa mga balita na sinabi ni Leon. Gretchen was a strong woman. She is at the peak of her career as she just recently opened several luxurious salon business. Highly unlikely na mag-suicide siya. For Jasmin's case, wala ako maisip na makakaaway ni Jasmin para patayin siya.

"Leon, where did you get these documents? Confidential police files ito ah?" nagtataka ko na tanong sa kanya.

"Boss, marami akong connections. May kaibigan ako sa police department. But that is not the point. Hindi coincidence lang ang pagkamatay nilang dalawa."

"Are you telling me that someone related to me killed them?"

"Yeah, to be specific Helena Cassandra Madrigal."

I was disturbed when Leon mentioned Helena's name. Siguro dahil masyado ng napalapit sa akin si Helena. Ayoko ng may ibang tao na nag-iisip ng masama tungkol sa kanya.

"She is weird, boss. Helzie is a bit crazy. Para siyang obsess sa'yo," bulong na sabi ni Leon kahit alam niya na hindi kami maririnig ni Helena sa labas.

"Come on, Leon. Helena is from a respectable family. Pamangkin siya ni Zara Madrigal. Do you think she has a psychopatic tendency to kill any girls na na-link sa akin?"

"All I know is that she is using your picture as her phone and desktop computer. That's a bit obsessive if you will ask me."

"Obsessed agad? Hindi ba pwedeng magka-crush ang isang Helena Madrigal sa boss niya?"

"I don't have proofs, boss. All I have is this gut feeling na may kinalaman siya dito. Biglaan ang pagdating niya. Sakto naman, biglaan din ang pagkamatay nila. There is no such thing as coincidence."

"Huwag mo masyado pag-isipan ng kung ano ano ang secretary ko. Helena has been a good secretary. She is doing a great job as your replacement."

"Boss, hindi kasi ako mapakali. Kilala mo ko, boss. Palaging tama ang kutob ko. I will investigate more about her."

"Leon, you don't need to do that. Isip bata lang 'yong tao. Nagkataon lang siguro ang mga nangyari. Ask Helena to cancel my afternoon schedule. I want to visit the family of Gretchen and Jasmin," sagot ko kay Leon as I try to convince myself na wala ngang kinalaman si Helena tungkol dito.

Sa loob ng ilang taon na pagkakaibigan namin ni Leon, I always admire his gut feeling. It was indeed always right. And now I am afraid that he may be right again.
