(Y/n)'s background

(Y/n) is a normal child living in London. Although she's actually from Ireland. She has a bit of a commoner accent but let's not dwell on that. Her mother and father decided to move to England because there marriage was failing. They thought that if they moved to a different country that it would save there marriage. (Y/n) was 6 at the time. She had to say bye to all her friends. Her parents didn't believe in the education system so she was never sent to school. To (y/n) it was like she was living alone in an empty house. Her parents in a desperate attempt to save there marriage spent all there time and money on themselves or alcohol and a bit of drugs. Her father felt sympathy towards his daughter and suggested to give her up for adoption. Her mother didn't care about what happend to her she suggested driving down the country and leaving her there instead of going threw all the trouble to sign adoption papers and giving an explanation why she was putting her up for adoption. (Y/n)'s dad was a bit more empathetic so he said he would go by him self to an orphanage. You see, (m/n)'s pregnancy was a surprise ( or a mistake as (y/n)'s mother would say) she wasn't trying to get pregnant but something went wrong. At that time (m/n) was 18 and (d/n) was 19. They were only dating for 3 months but they decided to get married so they could bring up there child properly. They fought every day over the stupidest of things like:
who was cooking for dinner, who would stay home and take care of (y/n), how long you should pour milk in your tea for, all those things. Until one day (d/n) hung around the wrong people and ended up buying drugs. It wasnt his fault. He just wanted some stress relief. Meanwhile (m/n) was drinking so much that she forgot her name. Little (y/n) was upstairs playing with her toy animals. She was thinking of what her mammy and daddy would make her for dinner. Sometimes they forgot to feed her but they would make it up by buying her, her favourite sweets. Anyway were getting back tracked. (Y/n) dad told her to get in the rusty old car so he could bring her somewhere. (Y/n) being the smaller then an average 7 year old got into the back of the car and shut the door with great effort.

In the middle of the silent drive curiosity seemed to get the better of (y/n). She ask her daddy where they were going. But it was silent. She decided that she wouldn't push it any further and stayed quiet. About 1 hour and 20mins (y/n)'s dad pulled up to an old looking building. (Y/n) wasn't the best at reading or writing. In her home she had a lot of trouble reading and spelling things right. Her parents gave up trying teacher her how to read and Wright. She looked up at the old building and tried to read the symbols that were on a sign but just couldn't. Mr. Smith's adoption home. (D/n) grabbed (y/n)'s had and gave her a tight strained smile. He told her to stay quiet and do as he and the people who worked there says. When they got in the orphanage (y/n) looked around and seen everything was broken and chipped away. She didnt like this place, she wanted to leave. (Y/n)'s dad went up to a lady wearing all white and signed some papers. After that her dad left with out as much as a glance at his 7 year old daughter. The girl in white grabbed (y/n)'s had so tightly that it made her hand hurt. The girl in white said her name was Mrs. Tyler and that she was in charge of this place. She explained that her dad wouldn't be back and that this was her new home. (Y/n) was devastated that he was never going to come back for her but understood that he didnt love her anymore. If ever. Mrs. Tyler explained all the rules in the orphanage (a place that (Y/n) had never heard before) and all the punishments that would happen of she broke them. She walked (y/n) into a small room cramped with kids. They all looked bored and sad. (Y/n) already hated this place.

After (y/n)'s punishment of speaking out of turn her hole arm was burning with little red lines on them. She hated that Mrs. Tyler made her go into the garden, pick out a stick and beat her with it. But it could be worse. Like if you didnt get up on time you wouldn't be fed for a whole day and a half. But then again she was use to longer. She walked back to her room. She counted how many days she was here in the orphanage with drawing little lines on a piece of crumpled paper. Every line represented a day and she had 35 lines. So that meant she was there for 35 days and already had a huge burn on her shoulder. It was when she was making tea for Mrs. Jones and a kid called Erin pushed her so had she dropped the kettle over her shoulder making Erin laugh as she screamed in anguish.
