From Points of Two (hyunjeong fanfic)

confession

I woke up expecting hyunjin next to me but instead I found a note that read "good morning innie ❤ sorry I left so soon it's Monday and we have school, I would've woken you up but you looked so cute see you there~~"
I threw the note after seeing the time and ran to get dressed. As sweet as that was I really wish hyunjin woke me up.

Hyunjin POV

I woke up and jeongin was curled up next to me fast asleep he looked so peaceful. I knew I should've woken him up but something told me seungmin had plans waiting for me when I arrived at school and I didn't want jeongin getting involved. So I left him a note and headed home real quick to change and head to school. As expected seungmin waited in front of the gate with a look as if he was expecting me.
H: good morning seung-
Before I could get the words out of my mouth I felt a fist reach my cheek knocking me down to the ground. Shockingly it wasn't one of seungmins friend but seungmin himself.
S: don't good morning me you asshole, what did I say about going near jeongin
I stood up
H: I don't remember you ever being the boss of me I do as I please
S: not when it involves jeongin you bastard
He tried to swing again but I caught his hand shoving him away but he doesn't stop and comes charging at me

Next thing I knew we were fighting right in front of the school. Students started to gather but I couldn't care less I was tired of this guy getting in the way of someone I truly love.

Seungmin POV

I waited for hyunjin to arrive to school I figured he'd be alone because jeongin didn't respond to my text this morning.. Again.. Hinting he was passed out and overslept. Today I'd finally make sure hyunjin was out of the way I can't take it anymore the thought of losing jeongin... The thought of him liking someone else.. It was too much, I wanted- no needed hyunjin out of the picture. I saw hyunjin walk up to me he attempted to greet me but as soon as I saw his face I was blinded by rage and punched him in the face i successfully knocked him down but he got right back up. He definitely had me beat when it comes to strength. But I had to try. I shoved him and he pushed me back both of us continually throwing punches I felt blood drip down my nose but it didn't matter. I managed to get hyunjin to the ground when i heard a familiar voice in the distance

Hyunjin POV

I ended up losing my balance during my fight with seungmin, right before he managed another hit to my face that'd surely break my nose he freezes. I look over and see a familiar figure running towards us... It was jeongin. He looked scared and confused

Jeongin POV

After rushing to get ready I saw a text from seungmin saying good morning I felt bad after promising to check my messages and so I skipped breakfast so at the least I wouldn't be late and upset him again plus maybe I could catch hyunjin walking and walk with him if I'm quick enough. I grabbed my things and ran out the door it was hot but I put it behind me and continued to rush to school, I finally arrived and I couldn't believe my eyes. Seungmin had hyunjin on the ground and they were both throwing punches at each other without thinking I ran up to them and yelled
J: guys stop!!
They both froze in place and stared at me. I didn't understand what was going on. I felt tears sting my eyes as I saw their faces covered in bruises and scratches. I didn't know what to do so I ran past them to go to the nearest bathroom so they couldn't see me cry.

[4 hours later]

Jeongin POV

It was now lunch and I was eating by myself, word has it seungmin and hyunjin were sent home due to their injuries but would receive detention for the rest of the week. I was scared to contact them but I knew I had to find out what happened. The day went by painfully slow til finally the dismissal bell rang. I decided to call them once I got home, it started to get super cloudy as I walked home. I really hope it doesn't rain, suddenly someone's started running towards me I couldn't see him very well but as he got closer I could tell it was seungmin. His cheek was swollen and his nose had a bandaid across it.
J: why are you here?.
S: I needed to talk to you
J: as much I want an explanation I don't feel comfortable doing this face to face
I couldn't look him in the eye half of me wanted to slap him for being so careless but comfort him because he was wounded
S: please listen to me I can explain
J: how can you explain beating the shit out of hyunjin!
J: I knew you didn't like him but you didn't have to go that far!!
Without knowing it I was yelling, as much as I care for seungmin I was too angry to be kind
S: it's not like that ok!
J: then what is it like huh!?
S: I WAS SCARED
J: of what!!
S: I was scared of losing you ok!!!...
I found myself silent I didn't understand what he was saying
S: jeongin I love you! More than as a best friend!! I always have and I thought.. Maybe I'd have a chance... But then he had to show up!!
His voice broke as he talked
S: and suddenly all you cared about was him you avoided me didn't respond to messages....
J: seungmin i-
S: I didn't want to tell you like this but I feel like I have no other choice, you deserve to know
Suddenly the clouds opened up and rain came pouring down. We stood there for a short moment I didn't know what to say, I never thought of seungmin like that suddenly images of hyunjin and seungmin flashed into my mind and I couldn't think straight.

J: I'm sorry I can't do this
Without thinking I bolted leaving seungmin standing in the rain after he had just confessed to me, I felt bad but I didn't know what else to do..
I ran home and jumped into my bed suddenly a rush of emotions hit me and I started to cry into my pillow

Seungmin POV

I knew I had to talk to jeongin immediately after what happened today so I ran towards is house after school was over I hoping to be able to explain. In the end I ended up confessing which was stupid, he was already confused and stressed and I just made it worse. The rain poured as jeongin ran away, the rain ran down my cheeks along with tears as I realized what I had just done I walked home cold and wet regretting everything.
