From Points of Two (hyunjeong fanfic)

road to forever

{1 year later}

It's been a year since everything, hyunjin graduated and I'm now in my senior year. It's hard for me without him there but he promised to put off college til I graduate, for now he works a part time job at the little cafe and we now share a rented apartment together. He finally convinced me to see a therapist after my nightmares came back, I started eating and sleeping again and honestly I feel great. Today was Saturday and hyunjin was out at the store. I woke up to a note saying he'd be back soon, I got up and took a shower while I waited, I sat down in the living room after showering and waited for him to return, without warning he snuck in quietly and attacked me from behind placing kisses on my neck, he new I hated that because it tickled

J: stopppp
H: haha did you miss me
J: nope
I pouted and turned away, of course I missed him but I'd never admit it
H: awe seriously
J: ah! don't make such a cute face!
I hugged him hiding my face in his chest
H: haha I knew you missed me
He hugged me back tightly
H: I got us food how about we have a picnic, I got a bunch of snacks
J: a picnic.. Like in the living room
H: nooo outside innie we can't stay in here forever
J: I could stay here for an eternity as long as I have you
I clung onto his shirt hoping cute words would help me in my pursuit in staying inside
H: that's not gonna work come onnn we need fresh air and I wanna spend time with you, your at school every day except for the two days I get you on the weekend
J: yeah yeah and even then you have work sometimes on the weekend.. I know I know I get it
I sighed to myself but he was right and I did want to spend time with him
J: alright let's go
H: yayyy!!
He was so cute when he was excited, he ran to the kitchen and packed a basket full of snacks and grabbed a blanket, I grabbed drinks and the apartment keys.
H: ready?
I nodded and we headed out
We could've taken the bus but the park wasn't very far so we decided to walk, besides my normal judgement it was really nice outside especially with Hyunjin by my side. We arrived at the park and hyunjin laid down the blanket and placed down the basket he sat down and I sat down next to him.
J: it's really nice outside
H: Mhm that's why I wanted to go out today
I rested my head on his shoulder and ate some chips
H: you know I love you right
I've dated hyunjin for a year now but every time he spoke the words I love you I got butterflies in my stomach and my heart would race making my cheeks flush, I could never get used to it
J: of course I do, and you know I love you to
H: haha you're so cute
Without warning he tackled me to the ground hugging me
H: I never want this to end
J: it never will
I hugged him tighter, I meant what I said, as long as he'll stay with me I'll never leave hyunjin. Ever.
We ate the snacks talked laughed, went on the swings to see who could go higher, we messed with the exercise equipment and petted a nice old womens dog. I couldn't feel any happier. Soon the sun started to set
J: we should head home
H: nooo not yet come on
Hyunjin packed up the picnic and we headed to the bus stop
J: where are we going
H: anywhere but home
J: but!-
H: come on!
He pulled me onto the bus that now stopped in front of us and we sat down in the back
J: what're you doing!
H: we're gonna go on a road trip
J: hyunjin it's late
H: and?
J: and-
H: shhhh just trust me
After that I kept my mouth shut I did trust him. 20 minutes went by and we got off at stop near the beach
H: come on!
He pulled me and I followed taking me to as I had expected the beach we arrived just in time to see the sun set, we sat down on the blanket and hyunjin held me in his arms

Hyunjin POV

I'm so happy I was able to convince jeongin to come out with me tonight, a year has passed since I asked him to be my boyfriend, and honestly, it's been the best year of my life, I couldn't ask for anything more, especially right now. Sitting on the beach watching the sun set with my whole world wrapped in my arms. I know he meant it when I said I hoped this never ends and he said it wouldn't and that made me even happier. I almost wish time would freeze right now. I held I him closer to me as we stared at the sun set, he smiled staring into the distance, he looked amazing his eyes gleamed his dimples exposed as he smiled to himself, the wind blowing through his hair messing it up a bit, he looked.. Perfect.

Jeongin POV

I felt so safe so at home with hyunjin holding me so close before I knew it I started to fall asleep I guess he noticed cause he suggested we go home
H: let's head back
I nodded and we sat up gathering everything and made it back to the bus stop just as the sun finished setting it was now dark and a bit cold. I couldn't help but shiver at the cold breeze. Hyunjin quickly wrapped his jacket around me holding me close
H: I'm sorry for keeping you out so late
J: no no it's fine
The bus arrives and we get on and head home. The ride was shorter cause there were no stops on the way so within 15 minutes we were walking down the street towards our apartment.
We walked inside and took off our shoes, I was now exhausted. Hyunjin picked me up bridal style and carried my to the bedroom laying me in bed before laying down beside me
J: thank you for today
I said sleepily moving closer to him
H: of course we should do this more often
J: like a date night hehe
H: exactly
He said kissing my cheek.
H: let's continue down this road together forever
J: the road to forever~
H: yep, exactly
J: I like the sound of that
I with that we fell asleep in each others arms. Where we'd continue down the road together, the road to forever~🖤
