From Points of Two (hyunjeong fanfic)

"I'm so sorry"

After seeing seungmins text my heart started to race, what does this mean, something told me it wasn't good
J: hyunjin!
H: what's wrong
Tears glazed over my eyes
J: I think somethings wrong with seungmin
I showed hyunjin the text and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion and worry
H: do you know where he lives
I nodded and Hyunjin quickly sat up and grabbed his jacket I followed quickly behind him and we left hyunjins house racing towards seungmins house. Even though we were running seungmin lived at least thirty minutes away.

[30 minutes]

We finally arrived at seungmins house his parents weren't home we banged on the front door to no avail nobody answered. I felt my chest tighten, this can't be happening, this is all going so fast, why now... Hyunjin ran around back to find that the back door was unlocked we ran inside and went throughout the house... But no seungmin in site accept a note he left for his parents that only answered the question I had tried to suppress after receiving that text, it read " I love you mom and dad I'm sorry for leaving so soon"  I started crying holding the note and Hyunjin tugged on my arm.
H: we have to find him
I wiped away my tears and followed hyunjin we searched around the neighborhood for at least another half hour before stopping near the end of a street panting and out of breath
J: where could he be
H: we'll find him I promise
Hyunjin hugged me, I was too tired to cry so I just clung onto him, suddenly hyunjin gasped I followed his gaze to see a blurry figure standing on the edge of the bridge of an interstate. My heart dropped and next thing I knew I bolted running towards the bridge. I ran as fast as my legs could take me surprisingly moving a bit faster than hyunjins. I could hardly catch my breath but I didn't care I finally made it to the bridge, the figure standing off the edge was indeed seungmin. I slowly approached him scared any sudden words would make him jump.
J: s-seungmin
S: you shouldn't have come
I was luckily alone because I ran faster than hyunjin
J: how could I not. Y-you're my best friend
I couldn't stop my voice from breaking terrified of what might happen at any moment, I couldn't see seungmins face but I heard soft sobbing sounds
S: haha... Best friend....
His fists were clenched so tightly his knuckles were white
S: that's all we'll ever be...but one day you'll forget I even exist, you'll have new friends a new happy life... You'll have Hyunjin
J: that's not true! You being apart of my life is the only thing that'll make my life happy
S: no it won't, I'm selfish to ever think you'd love me in that way
I knew I was running out of time to persuade him
J: please seungmin. Don't do it
I couldn't hold it back anymore I started to cry
This made seungmin turn slightly to face me
S: no.. Please don't cry
J: then don't leave me!
Seungmin finally turned fully, I walked towards him til the unforgivable happened. In Seungmins attempt to step of the edge he slipped.
J: SEUNGMIN NO!
I ran to the edge but I wasn't fast enough instead I heard the sound of his body hit the ground below I crumbled leaning against the side of the bridge. I screamed and cried. Soon hyunjin caught up and saw me sitting on the ground in tears. I'm sure he understood what just happened he embraced me tightly. I gripped onto his shirt as he called 911. The police arrived and Hyunjin took me home he stayed the night with me. I could barely sleep I kept having nightmares I'd wake up screaming, Hyunjin was always there to hold me but it didn't change much...
I miss him
So much
I miss seungmin...my best friend...
